    Default Grand Old Stars Fame

My Grand Old Stars quilt is getting alot of attention lately. It is one of the quilts featured in the December 2024 Prince William County (Virginia) Arts Magazine.

    I
t has been accepted into the 2025 AQS Medallion Inspirations Collection Special Exhibit where it will travel and be displayed in Datona Beach FL, Branson MO, Paducah KY, Grand Rapids MI, and Lancaster PA next year...

And someone from American Quilter's Society contacted me to see if I was interested in having it be considered for inclusion in the 2026 Quilt Art Engagement Calendar.

It has already received ribbons from three quilt shows... all this for a quilt that was made with orphaned blocks and leftover materials from other quilts that I had made. One never knows where your scraps will go!

Congrats on all the praise your quilt is receiving...well deserved. I love the backstory of how it came to be using scraps and orphan blocks. I am amazed at the tiny star border and how all the stars are in a row without getting crooked.

The simplicity of your award winning quilt is perfection. Congratulations, JENNR8R. I will have to go to the Grand Rapids ASQ show this year to see your beauty and bask in knowing that the maker is part of my circle of online quilting friends.
