Well guys something bad happened. I was sitting in my chair in the living room watching tv and packaging up my candies, I got them all nicely packaged and sealed and even decorated the envelopes a little bit. Then this morning when I was sitting in my chair drinking my coffee I slid my hand between the seat cushion and the chair looking for my phone and I found a bunch of candies! About 10 or so squares had slipped out of one of the envelopes!!!

I am NOT going to open them all to look for which envelope is missing squares. What I will do, though, is send whomever is missing candy pices from me, the missing pieces. So if you get a package from me and there aren't 50 pieces of candy in it let me know and I will send you the missing pieces plus some! I know it could be December of next year before anyone discovers this so I will try and remind you every month.

    so sorry

Cowboywife - if you have a kitchen digital scale - try putting each envelope on it. Perhaps you will see a difference in one. Worth a try. I certainly do not count what I receive!
I printed out four more "cards" to make up a few more as I see our numbers are rising! Yippee

I was looking at our thread to date and see we did not respond to your question. I do my best to get the envelope ready, candies counted stacked and in the envelope ready to go. All I need to do is insert a personal greeting, add the address and stamp and drop it in the mailbox.

Some years I just stored them in the snack size zip lock bags until I am ready to prep for the mail. It works just fine, but having the them ready all ready counted, and wrapped in plastic wrap works well too.

Good idea, TG! Problem could be solved.

I just did a quick and 1/2 of the packages have been put in the mail, yay!

Another hint, I just remembered, If you are using the envelopes with the metal clasp. The one with the fold down wings, take off the wings and or cover the flap with a piece of tape. If one of the wings is even just a little elevated, it can get caught in the machinery the validates the mail.

    Hello Everyone,

The January card was put in the mail at the beginning of the week. I hope that it is making its way okay, as I didn't go to the post office for this one. I wanted to get it on it's way so I put 3 forever stamps on it, put it into the mailbox and wished it good luck. If it doesn't arrive on time, my very sincere apologies and I will plan on taking the others to the post office.

This year, my family is trying to up-cycle and use what we have. Because of this, all of the birthday cards will be handmade and unique. What this also means is that each envelope will probably weigh differently, but that is ok.

I wish everyone a good start to the new year. --Best H

Cowboywife --- oo oo -- it is me! My package is short a few candies!!

Sorry. I can't help but be silly. I just, like petthefabric, pet the candies and enjoy the attributes of each swatch as I decide how to store it. All are little treasures and the only time I notice the quantity is if the candy variety is way out of normal range.

I am very glad you're joining in with us this time around. I hope you like your candies when you get them. If you do have problems with any package, be sure to let WMUteach know so she can advise the sender of the issue. We all do want to make one another happy.

Happy second day of Christmas and second day of Hanukkah and second day of Kwanzaa. Time to celebrate!

Ibex, no it was me!, I had the same thought. All right everyone, I received LAF's package and several more look like they might be arriving today/tomorrow. I'm not at home until Tuesday so will update list then. LAF's came through perfectly, just 2 shingled fabric rows in a business size #10 envelope. 2 forever stamps. This is a little more expensive than using a 2-ounce stamp (depending when you bought the stamps) but it totally worked and no fuss with fancy envelope sizes. Happy new year all!

Hi everyone, another question for repeat participants: if you are fussy cutting different items from a novelty fabric or cutting different sections from a large motif, do you consider those repeats in your sets?

e.g. I have a butterfly fabric with different colored butterflies. Can I send multiple squares of that fabric that feature different butterflies to the same recipient? Or I have a really large print floral, when cut into 2.5” squares the squares read as red, blue, green depending on the section cut from. Is it ok to send multiples from that fabric to the same recipient if they feature a different part of the fabric?
