Hi, petthefabric! I recall how outstanding your version was when you did the mystery. I think the company is one of the big reasons we enjoy this project, but no sense putting in the effort when it is not your style.

I have Parts 1 - 4 and 6 completed. Have half of Clue 5 done too. Today I will finish 5 and get started on 7. So tired of flying geese!
This is the second year I have done 1/2 the units for a lap size quilt! I would really be behind if I did the whole thing!
Since Bonnie is leaving on a trip soon, I bet she thows in another clue or the finish on New Years!

I started clue 7 this afternoon and have half of the FG done but have not attached any of the QST to them yet. Will wait until I have all the FG finished before joining up with the attachments.
your blocks are so pretty Belfry. I am always so amazed at the variety of fabric we seem to all have in our stash.

I finally got me sewing room organized enough to start on this. I've not sewn since I packed everything up in March last year, so I'm looking forward to turning on my machine again! I've got most of clues 1-6 cut and then I'll start sewing them together.
I sure am enjoying not having freezing solid weather for winter. Love that my fish can stay in the pond year round too.

I'm making slow progress. I'm putting together my last batch of halves for clue 3, then those will be all done. I'm now up to 9 sets completed of clue 4. On this third pass, I managed to get the seam allowance right, so no trimming needed.
I'm ready to choose fabrics for that second part of clue 5 -- the red and neutral squares. My impulse is to use my biggest print, most conspicuous neutrals, which I think would work, for example, in a border, but I wouldn't want them competing with the more delicate neutrals I used in the sets. If any of you are having ideas about what those squares might be used for, could you message me?
Welcome back to sewing, Macybaby. That was a long time to go without!

As I'm measuring my units as they come off the machine, I'm finding a few are 1/16 of an inch off. How much tolerance do you have for units that are not absolutely the precise measurement called for? Do you have a range of tolerance for those that are slightly off before sliver trimming them?
