I am continuing to make progress in these dark middle of the night/early morning sewing times. The storm largely missed us but we got a few inches of snow and it will be in the 20s for the next couple of weeks. We are just amazed how the township gets out and plows the back neighborhoods like ours.
As said in the beginning, this is more of a support group than a race. Also has been said that there are many Bonnie UFOs out there. I usually figure on working through January and hope to have the top completed by Valentine's Day. BTW, a reminder that the free clues will be taken down about then. You will be able to buy a non-mystery version PDF.
My Clue 7 "tiny geese" are all sewn, including the extras I need for my extra row. I'm about halfway through pressing the last seam. All will need trimming, but my sewing group will meet for the first time this year (or since mid-December) on Tuesday and that will be a great task for me...
My Clue 6 HST are all sewn and pressed, including the extras. Again, all need trimming.
Then when I get off line and go back down stairs again, time to start back from the beginning, sort of. I will be using the same fabrics for the square in a square as in the outer ring of star points. I'm getting a goofy pre-enjoyment from the french fry fabric and a french fry star. Think that is my name for the project, not old town but French Fry Star!!

Iceblossom, thank you for posting the pictures of your sewing area....I am so excited for you to have that space and am praying with all the others that the new lens change will make it possible for you to continue with the sewing and long arm work. Thank you again for taking the lead in monitoring this site for all of us. I have loved seeing everyone's work. Dunster, I am thankful for you posting the image of an on point version - it gives me ideas of how to put together my throw size blocks.
To all the other skilled quilters...thank you for sharing your quilting tips and wisdom. I hope to post some pictures soon.
Carol in WI ...AKA...Granny 12 (seems I had to register under another name once)

I'm going to get a sewing day today! Yesterday spent all day baking and tending a bonfire. We've had a pile of tree deprise that had needed to be burned and have started it up twice and it didn't keep burning. We've had a week of dry weather (raining today) so yesterday was a good day to get serious about it. I cut up more of the larger stuff and got the fire started with cardboard and lumber scrap and got it going and hot enough to get all the branches burning. Sure is nice not having that large pile waiting anymore. Since it's wet out today, and I have leftovers for today's meals, I get to spend the day assembling blocks.
Iceblossom, your room looks very nice! I laughed sewing your wrapped up roll of batting, as I've got the same thing in my sewing room right now - thank's to the year end closeout sale.

I'm finishing up a 3 yard quilt then will get back to the block corners this afternoon. I don't know why I was struggling so much, but perhaps a day away will have helped. I'm hoping to have this finished by the end of the month, and since I'm making a half-sized version that should be doable.

I got the extra units I needed for the Clue 1 star points done yesterday, they are waiting for their last pressing. If I get that done before my sewing group, they'll go for the trimming I have planned for today. Still need to make the 5 new square in a square units, all fabric is cut and it is ready to go. Because I had figured on going scrappy and not planned for the stars, I had a couple Clue 1s that were replaced. Most fabrics are repeated once, two blocks will be unique.
Next step will be adding the additional Clue 2 tiny 4-patches that I figured would come back to haunt me. I should have enough leftovers to easily make the 20 I need.
Clue 3 won't be bad at all, just 4 more of the hourglass units.
Clue 4 is melon/neutral HST, need 5 sets of 8 matching. Goes fast since all the melon is the same.
Clue 5 is the square in a square, ready to go.
Clues 6 and 7 are being trimmed at group today.
