Another set of kudos to AlvaStitcher. I like the random scrappy. I'm not so sure on my decision to make matched stars, plus having the one consistent melon.
I'm actually very motivated to get my subunits done to where I can start playing with design stuff... I'm seeing some unhappiness about the "crosses" in the sashing design. If you haven't cut those random aqua scrappy, I think it would actually lessen the crosses to make them all one fabric, especially since you can use a larger print. Would just be a criss-cross. I'd consider other colors, like a 50/50 fabric of two of your colors -- I always find those hard to use.
I do have all the tiny geese units sewn, one seam needs pressing.
I do have my extra Melon/Neutral HSTs trimmed.
I am working on trimming the Clue 6 (was it??) Red/Neutral HST.
The heater has made such a difference! I woke up early (4:00ish) with my sinuses and lungs all congested from allergies. It took a couple hours of sitting upright and blowing my nose until I could venture downstairs. The window above my sewing desk faces pretty much due east so I am able to watch the sunrise. Way back in October/November I was concerned that the white on whites I was going to use were too stark. Maybe so, but I'm appreciating the crisp new snow against the brick houses in my neighborhood.

Iceblossom, I'm glad you're enjoying your heater!
I've seen some sashing on Quiltville done in alternate prints, and it looked good. It seems that quite a few people are wanting to lessen the prominence of the illusion block.
I have cut the bodies of my baby geese, and my sashing strips, and started cutting the clue 8 red geese. These are different and I think brighter reds than my other clues, which I hope won't be problematic. I also am eager to start seeing what my blocks are like, but much sewing yet to do.

I got the aqua rectangles cut yesterday and was dreading cutting out all the 1.5” squares. I did not have many neutrals in my 1.5” scrap bin but pulled out the ones I had. Then I remembered that I had been given a bin of 2” squares (probably hundreds in there) so I was able to cut the ones that I could use down to 1.5” size in stacks of 5 or 6 at a time. I now have quite a stack of them but need to do a count to see if I have enough cut or if I still need more. May get to it this afternoon.
I also would like to recover my big ironing board. Get the new year started with a clean one. We’ll see if DH is receptive to helping me on that today.

Great progress, AlvaStitvher and Joe'smom -- we will get through this. I bought a new cover for my oversized board and am not so happy with it, will try lacing it tighter with some upholstery thread I have but I might need to get some thing cording.
I am proud to announce that I am officially and totally pressed and trimmed up-to-date to Clue 8. Yay me.
Remember that I switched aqua to gold so my fabrics look very different.
Since I was adding blocks, I decided to match the centers with the star points. Not quite sure how that will work out, but once I can start playing with my blocks I can try it and see.

Your units look wonderful, Iceblossom!
Even though I am so far from being done, I put some clue 1 aqua geese up on my wall, to see how the busy neutrals look and how they go with their coral HSTs. I'm very pleased on both counts, and it is making me very eager to get on with it! If there's any element I'm doubting, it's all the intense red that is to come, but since I have no red clue finished, I'll just have to wait a little longer on that.

Belfry , in the upper right block of your picture, you have a bottom 1/2 sq coral turned in the wrong direction I am not even sure why I saw it LOL but since I would want someone to give me a heads up if it was me, I thought I would let you know. I am only on clue 3 at the moment but I am making progress
