    WMUT love that sock quilt

Happy Lab we are huge Football fans, unfortunately our beloved Vikings were there physically but not mentally on their last two games. No play offs for us

Terriamn, I am a fair weather Lions fan. This year is another good year and I am watching as I type.

Hoping to do a little stitching late tomorrow after church and a belated Christmas with my grands. I did a deep dive searching for UFOs and what do you know three 2.5 quilts. Two just need back, layering and quilting one, well that one needs work. So I will choose one and get after it for my February finish.

Stay cuddled up in a favorite quilt as most of us are in a "cold snap zone".

I just sent the February Birthday message. If you did not get it this evening let me know and I will resend.

I hope to hear from some of our quiet ones this month.....2.5 day is coming (Show how you are using 2.5" squares, finished or in progress.) We also have a little contest for a quilting prize.

    Stay warm and stitch on.

Here is a photo of my new quilting studio....OK this is what it feels like in my sewing room any way.

I got your message and will send out envelope first of February when we get back from Rocky Point MX.
In 2003 DH left out home (selling two years later) and moved into our home on wheels. During that time we became grandparents and thus TravelingGramma. We do have a place in AZ now but we are on the road half the time! Like now!!
Over the years you have sent my birthday cards to AZ, NY, MD and NH!

WMUTeach, got your pm but this month I don’t need to send as I’m the recipient! Woo hoo. You asked about how I came up with my board name. Pretty simple, it’s just a shortened version of my name. Not very original, I’m afraid.

Am thrilled to report I’m working on my candy quilt, color blocks. Below is where I am today but I hope to have it partially assembled by 2.5 day. We’ll see. I’ve diagonally quilted the red and green blocks and will start on the blues or yellows in the morning.

Hi everyone. I’m new to the group and have been quilting for about 22 years. It’s my passion and my ministry. I make quilts for charity. Love using those 2.5” squares.

When I hit 55, I decided I wanted to carry only red purses regardless of the colors of my outfits. It was a great excuse to start buying new red purses 😁. So, that is my name on this board, and many other places, Redpurselady.

My board name is self explanatory. Once I had my son, I lost my own identity and became "Patrick's Mom." When attending school conferences, I would put "Patrick's Mom" on my "Hello. My name is..." nametag. Teachers knew exactly who I was. It embarrassed my son, which was also part of the fun!

February birthday girl, I will put your candies in the mail tomorrow.

I always send the message to our birthday swapper also, just in case I make a mistake on the address in the cut and paste process. Keep working on your blocks, they look better every time you post an update.

FYI, I always include the next month's birthday swapper in my messages just in case I mess up an address. Sit back and relax this month, Janice McC. Keep stitching on your rainbow squares. They look better and better each time you post and update.

WMUTeach seems self explanatory unless your not from Michigan which is most of you. I taught children from preschool to college and loved my jobs. My last position was at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, Michigan. I was full-time faculty but I split my work between being a departmental advisor to transfer students and teaching faculty. I taught child development, infant and toddler development, and preschool administration and what ever I was asked to teach. My students did not want to be classroom teachers but wanted to work with children and their adults. Oh, occupations like social work, adoption agencies, foster care, children's protective services, child life specialists, addiction and recovery centers, some preschool, WIC, Head Start, parent education programs or any agency that works with children and their families. All diverse career paths for those who love to spend time with kiddos and their moms and dads. I retired a few years back and continued to teach part-time but now am done, done. Miss it sometimes, but less and less as time passes.
