I forgot to mention that I mailed out my envelope on Monday---ugh what a week. 60 + mph winds and 8 inches of snow dropped in our area over night Monday-Tuesday. School was closed, then Wednesday the schools were closed for recognition of the Lunar New Year (first Year NYS is observing this Holiday) and another 3-4 inches of snow. Today we woke to -22 temps without adding wind chill factors, but it was such a beautiful clear, sunny morning. The sun was glistening on what I used to call diamond snow when I was little--when the sun hits the snow and it sparkles like a diamond. I love winter, love my location, but not so much the high winds and ice that we have been getting lately. Monday may get back up to nearly 40--and these yo-yo'ing temps are not my favorite. Have a good weekend everyone.

You all might laugh but appreciate this. I’m already cutting squares for the next swap! lol. I found myself with a bunch of short 2-1/2 inch strips so what’s a gal to do but cut candy squares and set them aside?

    Have a great day!

You bet'cha! I am not laughing, just giggling. I am always cutting 2.5's from scraps and adding them to my color bins. Your not alone today. I was cutting sashing from with of fabric strips for a baby quilt and the odd little end pieces were just right for cutting into 2.5s. Got about a 15 or so. Whoo hoo more to work with!

I hope my candies get to you soon Janice, I sent them quite a while ago. I don’t know why they take so long to get places.

Don’t fret, LC! It’ll get here eventually. Everything seems to be running late now.

LC, you mailed your package on January 24 according to your post #243. That was a week ago and it takes snails longer to travel in the winter. Wink, Wink. (Rain, snow, ice and road side attractions can cause snail delays.) They will get there in plenty of time for our February birthday. Be sides this month snails need to go up a mountain of sorts to reach JMcC.
