My guild makes use of FQs, 5” , 10” and 2 1/2” cuts of donated fabrics. We scoured the internet for several free patterns to have on file so we were infringing of copyright laws or cutting out the designer by sharing paid patterns. We package kits with a free pattern included. We plan one day a month for cutting and packing kits. Many hands make light work.

Thanks so much for your help. I ordered the Sunsprite pattern from Villa Rosa. I plan on sharing this thread with my fellow Community Service group members.
We have plenty of fabric, but all is yardage. So would you suggest that we make layer cakes, etc. for the kits? That thought never occurred to me.
Thanks again, an keep those ideas coming.

Quilts for Kids is an excellent 503B non-profit that has some easy and fun patterns. And yes, making up kits is a great idea. QFKs provides kits to people interested, the quilter supplies the batting, thread and time, then mails the quilts back.

Sunsprite is a very do-able pattern. Can I also suggest " Candies", "Brownsville", "Seashell", "Daybreak", for a fast and east quilts? I'm not associated with Villa Rosa Designs, but having made over 100 quilts for Project Linus, I do have some favorites. Enjoy your quilting projects!

I just saw this. A couple of ladies in our charity quilting group are making these.
