Brian,
Skip's method does include wiped on shellac. I have never seen him use spray on. have seen him do it, but have yet to practice it myself. It does have a learning curve. All the information isvin this important thread.
Unfortunately, SKip has passed away. A huge loss of a good friend and fellow collector.

Good luck, Brian. I have seen Skip demo his method at the Alabama Toga(TreadleOn Gathering and Academy). It just takes time and patience.

The front decal on my 1935 second-batch have been worn away with use, although the rest of the painted finish and other decals are in great shape. Is it possible to remove the shellac down to the decals and replace them without repainting the whole machine?
