Looking forward to getting my fabrics today.

Ladies, does anyone remember the days when we never thought about our health? I think of my grandchildren who pop out of bed each morning like toast w/o an ache or pain in the world!! That was all of us once upon a time.

I spoke to my bestie yesterday and she and her husband also get colds every time they visit the grands. That's happened to us 3 times last year! We're going to use some immune support next time.

Good luck with your test Sewbiz.

Janice- hope the vertigo subsides. UGH!

ROFLOL. I know this effect well. Welcome to the club!

Thoughts like the following just kept coming...
  • Hmmm... that gold colored fabric from a project a couple of years ago might be just the right shade to go with the Mardi Gras fabric.
  • Was there some yellow in that Winnie the Pooh fabric? Is yellow gender neutral? It's my favorite colors so I'd love to be able to use it...
  • Now where did I put those Valentine fat quarters...in the tote under the bed or are they in the closet?
So, because you are all such a friendly, helpful and inviting group of quilters, I tossed and turned a bit last night. This does happen sometimes, but usually I'm thinking about work projects. I must say it was much more fun thinking about fabric.

Yes, I remember those days. They were a while ago unfortunately. The grands are the chief cesspools of germs. Love them but my goodness!

Well I started the morning off great by slipping on the ice and hitting the back of my head on cement. Now I have a headache and a bump on the back of my head. I should just go back to bed and start over.

LogCabin, please be ever watchful for the remainder of the day for any signs of concussion. It may be time to bring out the bubble suits for our group.

SBG, thinking about you today, hope the test isn't too terrible.

My package was supposed to be delivered today but our mail lady has already been here. Hopefully tomorrow they will arrive.

LQ, I second Cheesehead's concern. If there is anything amiss, please get yourself to Urgent Care. Do you have someone who could drive you?

I knew as a group we should have patented the Bubble Suits!

To all the Boom buddies -- please pamper yourself and stop falling, getting sick, needing surgery, etc. I know it is inevitable but we seem to be sharing illness of one variety or another all at the same time. Computer virus perhaps, lol? Hugs to all of you. (I keep getting sick, too, but no extra tests needed, yet. It is allergy and mold season in New Orleans).

The blocks have been beautiful, Janice. I can't wait to see the abundance about to dance across the screen.

Ibex, I’m feeling much better! The vertigo is almost gone thanks to some otc meds for my ears. May even be able to go out with friends for lunch tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing all the new blocks start coming in soon. I’m off to go finish one for today I hope. According to PirateShip, over half the packages have been delivered. Yay!

Ladies - If there is ice, snow, sleet or rain - stay inside and sew - it is way too dangerous out there.
I agree with cheese - bubble suits needed

I got my package today - I saw the mail lady as i was going to our quilting group this morning and that is all I thought about until I could get it in my hands! All accounted for. Beautiful fabric and love all the suggested requests. And there are two Halloween fabrics !
Since I had cleaned my sewing area and prepared my machine (including 10 full bobbins of various colors) and my patterns were in folders - I was ready. But when i started to pull fabrics I realized that in my travels I neglected to prewash - and than there are those FQ that always hope into my cart. So put the breaks on.
Waiting to see all your blocks and inspiration

Went to quilting this morning. Turned in the one top and no one bothered me to take another pile of squares but found one with great purples and just had to bring that home to work on as well as one other with 4 colors. Since the squares were already cut I just grabbed them and started throwing them together, have it half sewed together already. A real treat.

Michelle told hubby about our post and he had a good belly laugh. Then said oh no there are more like you out there. LOL

Not a pool day, overcast and windy, went for a golf cart ride then I was able to sew the rest of the afternoon. A great afternoon

LQ ouch take care of yourself.
