The nerve test is OVER! And it was painful. After he got done giving me many painful zaps with the cattle prod type thingy, then he put on gloves and brought out the wires. He stuck wires into several muscles in my forearm and zapped me that way. The injection part was ok but when the wires went deeper and in different directions, it really hurt. Lucky I have a high tolerance for pain. The dr. said in the last 5 years he has only had one person who said, "I'm out" basically, because they couldn't take the pain. The results go on a computer readout screen. He said that 30 years ago, before they had computers to help them, it took 4 times as many zaps to get the same results as with the computer. Gosh! Yay for modern technology. Dr. was really nice.
When I got home, my package was here! A reward for a bad day! I have counted 19 and the colors are beautiful, as you said Janice. I took each one out and read the notes, and put them back into their baggies until it's their turn. Probably going to dig into them tonight.
LC, please ice that bump. Ice often. Just lie on a bag of frozen peas until you warm it up, then refreeze it for the next icing. You know the rule for head injuries... go to the ER and get it checked out. That wouldn't be a bad thing to do, if you haven't already. All the while keep an eye on your pupils. If they stay dialated, you may have a concussion.
Glad you are feeling better, Janice.
Hey, I fell this morning too. I was wearing my 2" clogs on our unpaved driveway, and I hit a bump and the shoe just buckled over sideways. Fell hard but mostly laded on my right side... my head stayed up off the ground. I'm fine. Ordering a bubble suit!

I will go First......
I made one for Annaquilts called Love squared from the 1000 blocks book. I hope this is what you are thinking for your Valentine quilt. I used pinks and reds, but the picture looks a little washed out.

NZQuilter, this one is for you. It’s Prairie Dawn from vol 13 of the 100 blocks magazine. It’s one of my current favorites, I made the one that’s my avatar, too. I like the one for you better. A couple of points aren’t great but I hope you’ll overlook them. Your tie dye is wonderful and I hope you won’t mind that I cut it up the way I did.

I expected my package to day arriving by 9:00 PM. Nah, It is in Indianapolis, waiting. Projected arrival tomorrow by 9:00pm, but we are scheduled for a BIG snow starting about 1:00 tomorrow afternoon. Will see if the package makes it to the "Mitten" before the snow snags things up. I had to laugh at the weather dude, he is predicting "shovelable" amounts of 4 - 6 inches while other weather forecasters are saying as much as 10 inches, The race is on to see who is correct. I have Bible study in the morning and grocery shopping before the magic hour of 1:00 pm. After that I plan on snuggling into my sewing room and either make boom blocks or work on other WIPS that can be attended too. No, falling down on ice for me I like my new hip, my head and my plated wrist, toes and.... Yup, wish I could bound around with the exuberance of a 10 year old. Even moving like a 20 or 30 year old would be marvelous. Then I look at others who are younger than me who can barely walk up the steps or who are using scooters. I'm not in such poor condition after all.
Just need to use my brain to not take unnecessary chances. Take care LC and everyone else too.
NZ, my son had that same "test" aka assessment a few years ago. His new doc is considering redoing the assessment and my dear boy, is not leaning in that direction. He says, "It hurts, mom!" Happy that you got some fabric medication in the mail to sooth the pain and memories of discomfort."
Bubble suites and cesspools of germs! Tee-Hee-Hee! My years as a preschool teacher were my healthiest but I did spend much of may day washing hands, my own!

Thank you LStew. I think pictures do not do the colors justice in these pictures. The fabrics you picked look very cute and Valentine. Thank you for your beautiful block.
