I am so glad you enjoyed the super bowl, Happy lab. Sorry about your team but who can explain it? Why did my Lions roar all fall and then lose late in the season? Better opponent? Too many injuries? Distracted by success? Just tired out? That is what makes games of any kind fun. I did not understand the performer for the half-time show, literally did not understand him, either. Liked the dancing, precise, interesting and modern. All the raves about Larmar's message go on and on, but when you can't understand the words, the message is lost no matter what is may have been. Ah, next year!!

No sewing for me yesterday or today but tomorrow I will be back in front of the machine making Valentine's Day sachets and of course working on some quilting project.

Happylab and WMUTeach, I’m another one who was disappointed that the KC Chiefs couldn’t pull it out. They were outmatched. Oh, well, next year!

I hope to get back to my candy project next week. I’ve got a few more Boom blocks to make then it’s Candy Quilting Time!

Nice quilt Logcabin! I'm ready to crawl under it.

Janice I hope you feel better soon! Is it snowing again by you? If there was a mold issue from all the flooding that caused some of the lung aggravation, snow will limit the mold for a few days and hopefully that time will help you heal.

HappyLab we are a big football family also and our beloved Vikings had a fantastic year. Then the last 2 games they were out to lunch, heartbreaking but hopeful for next year. I can feel your pain.

    LogCabin fantastic quilt, love it

Logcabin, that quilt top is gorgeous! Show us the finished project too.

And.... I apologize to football fans, I reread my post above and it comes across as snarky. I hope anyone who did take offense accepts the apology.

Thank you ladies! I haven’t measured how big it is, and I’m still trying to think what kind of backing I should put on it, I will probably do scrappy backing maybe with ten inch squares from different collections or maybe one collection. Flowers maybe?

LC, so many beautiful colors in your quilt that you could go in just about any direction that thrills your heart for the backing. FYI, I often do a diagonal cross--hatch on my quilts that are all 2.5" squares. Easy peasy and no marking. I don't recall if you have a long arm. If you do, then that expands your quilting options. I don't have a LA so I go easy and simple on my 2.5 quilts.

    Awaiting pictures of your progress.

LC, I love your choice of black sashing, it sets it off nicely.

Pamelor, I didn’t find your post the least bit snarky! No worries here.

I picked up my color block quilt and I’m slowly putting the sashing on for QAYG. I hope to have it done by 2.5 Day so I can show you.
