Feed Sack Quilt

Hi Guys,
Ibex - It is really called monofilament conservation grade net... I just called it resrotation net. As for the two colours, that was an original picture before the stabilization which I sent to the owner so she could choose what colour backing I used. Originally there was no backing.... just the yoyo's sewn together at 4 points.
kittiebug - I used a good quality cotton fabric, layed the yoyo quilt on top, pinned it together with silk pins and the painstakingly stitched each yoyo to the background.
I hope this helps.

Thank you for the details. This was such a labor of love for all involved. I am sure she is enchanted with what you have done and how the quilt will stay stable for at least another 40 years. The tales this quilt could tell!

A funny story: my sister saw a yo-yo quilt on the cover of a magazine once and asked me to help her make one. Of course I was thrilled as she is not sewing inclined at all. Well.......she made one or two and said " That's all I'm making!" hahaha
