Good evening. Thank you, SusieQ, for your block for me. It's very pretty.

Yikes you are south, Terriamn. I spent about 24 hours in San Benito which isn't too far from you a number of years back. It was HOT! Month of May as I recall. And the insects were HUGE. Every thing is bigger in Texas, so they say. I was doing a math training for early elementary teachers. Interesting experience, not bad, but a different culture that I had little experience with. I remember clearly that teachers are teachers the world around, like quilters are quilters no matter where we are from. We did just fine with the language differences and a different approach to teaching young children.

I am sorry about the loss in your family. May peace and health return to everyone touched by this unexpected death.

No block today, I had an unexpected visit by my son. Always an interesting conversation and catching up time with him. No time for sewing..... Guess that could mean two tomorrow. Tee-Hee-Hee!

Susie Q are you talking about the floral fabric? There was only a swatch in the baggies that didn’t receive a floral fabric

Michelle- that Halloween block is soooo cute! I hope you're having fun with this swap.
Terri- firstly, I'm sorry about your daughter's MIL. Must have been an awful shock to the family.
About the fabrics, both of them said there were another piece but there weren't any. No worries.

Brownsville is as far south as you can get and still be in the US. Not sure how it compares to Miami. We don’t have problems with immigrants crossing into this area. They prefer rural areas where military helicopters aren’t constantly flying over head.

Sewbiz glad your pain is minimal.

Michele quilts, Lstew and SusieQ great blocks.

Now the insects here are huge, winds are ferocious and the people are incredibly friendly.

Michelle I forgot to tell you I use loc block rulers for my flying geese. They are a bit spendy but work splendidly. I make them oversize and use the ruler for the perfect size

Thanks for sharing those beautiful blocks, Lstew, Michelle and Terri! Lovely work.

Janice, your colorblock quilt is wonderful! What a great idea for the 2.5" squares.
Glad you had a great visit with your family.

Good early morning. Poor Ernie must have eaten something outside late last night and he got sick. Poor boy. I’m up washing blankets and hoping to get the stains out. Oh, well, as long as he feels ok now. He looked miserable afterwards but perked up some.

I’ll work on a block for myself while I wait for the laundry.

Hi Terriamn...yes, those are the ones that I was talking about in my post. I was shocked at the price, but I see how that grove that just butts against the "wings" of the geese would be great. And especially in a situation when you're making oodles of them you could trim them pretty quickly.
