Good afternoon! I shocked myself with all the unquilted tops I have and my productivity has suddenly plummeted. I pulled out a scrap bin and I’m making small scrappy blocks just to be doing something. I’m planning on finally joining one of the local quilt guilds. Maybe I can donate some tops to them for finishing and donation. I’m never going to complete them all. It’s overwhelming. I’ve just got to free up some space!

Well, poor Ernie is still gaining weight. “Someone” is feeding him way too much and it isn’t me. I had a serious talk with that someone and I think he understands now that it is more harmful than beneficial. Ernie’s a little porker at 14 pounds!!! He shouldn’t be over 12. Oh, dear.

Macybaby, Sorry to hear you’re under the weather. Lots of stuff going around up here. Take it easy and get well soon.

I totally empathize Janice! I have a few quilt tops that need quilting. And I have at least 7 quilts that just need the binding added!! I keep saying I’m not going to start another project until I finish others up, but here I am in the swap! LOL
And I’m not even going to count the projects I started and was gang busters about in bursts but then put them in the closet…

Macybaby hope you are back to your old self soon. Not fun when you just aren’t feeling well

GramE stunning block and I am also going to google the block you mentioned and like the others praying your insurance will cover the procedure and that it works so you will finally be pain free after all these years

Cheesehead love your cat’s cradle.

We went to a couple real stores looking for some things for our May cruise. We mainly both need insulated rain jackets. Neither of us found a jacket but I found a couple blouses and that was it. Hubby made out like a bandit. It was suggested to purchase a puff jacket as they block out the wind. Ordered a 3/4 length one, it arrived and dh said I looked ridiculous. My girlfriend I darn near had to pick up the floor from her laughing so hard. Her poor hubby didn’t know what to say, he was trying to find something kind but finally gave up and just shrugged. Do you remember the little boy Ralphie’s brother in the Christmas story all bundled up in his snowsuit. Well that pretty much is what Iooked like but it was also huge on me. Darn

Janice hurrah on it being your turn for the neighborhood to be cleaned up from the tornado

Made this a couple days ago for Cheesehead. Talk about indecisive. I knew what I wanted but kept trying different things in the 4 corners. First I added the lavender, then half square triangles with the green and lavender. And decided on the green fabric. Hope you like it cheese

Another fun tip about Texas is it only has one natural lake. Lake Caddo. All other lakes are the results of rivers being blocked off to form a lake or they make huge manmade lakes. Such as LakeGrapevine by Dallas.

Such a pretty block, Terriamn. I think the simple corners are perfect for your star.

That block I made is in Quiltmakers Vol 5 page 46. Now I don’t have a year on that but I only have all from one year, 2012, I think.

Thank you all for your kind words about my block for Hav4boys. I was amazed how it turned out. It might be a little smoother the next time. I will definitely color code the pieces with labels.

Good morning. Looks like we have a lazy Saturday ahead of us but tomorrow the grands are coming so it'll make up for today. Next weekend we're going to have both girls overnight here, the first time without their parents. That should be an adventure. DH and I are just planning on not getting much sleep!

Hope everyone has a good weekend ahead.

Good morning everyone. Thanks for the well wishes. I'm starting to feel more like myself, but decided to stay home today. DH and DS are heading to DD's house for a day of yard cleanup. She's got a bit of wooded area at the back and they loaded up with limbing and trimming tools to get some work done.

This morning I've been playing in EQ8 with my layout for this Boom's blocks. Will add more blocks are you all complete them, and then I'll know where they go when they get here. I've got my 16" center block done, and will work on the others while working on Boom blocks.

This is what I've come up with in EQ8. The colors are only approximate, but it helped to decide on basic design for the middle part.
