    Default Scrappy Nines

This quilt is called Scrappy Nines. The pattern is in a book called The big Book of Scrappy Quilts. The fabrics are all batiks that I had in my stash. It was fun to make. I made it bigger than the pattern by adding more blocks, so the finished size is 90 by 90 inches. The binding was a remnant I got somewhere and was waiting for the right place to use it. The fabrics are all batiks. There are 2889 pieces in it. I had to do the math since I made it bigger and used scraps and leftovers to make it. I added a close up picture to see the 9 patches.

Your quilt is beautiful! I would never have the patience and persistence to finish that quillt.

I love the muted colors and the pattern. You did a beautiful job.

I was very intrigued by your beautiful quilt. And then I had one of those "Ah ha" moments!! A friend gave me a copy of The Big Book of Scrappy Quilts last year and yes, the pattern you used, is in it. Thank you for sharing your interpretation. I think it is absolutely lovely and I have now earmarked the pattern in the book.

I am normally not a batik lover but your quilt is beautiful! Might have to rethink the batik route,
