Log Cabin thanks for my lovely block your accent colors are the perfect choice

Was up early this morning and finished my top. This is a first of it’s kind for me and I’’m pretty excited about it. Thx again Sewbiz fit sharing your small scraps with me. Unfortunately the picture had to be shrunk so far you can’t see all the fun doors. There are kitties, Micky Mouse, a snail, penguin, Christmas tree and pumpkins.

For the couple of T-shirt quilts I've made, I've used SF101. That has worked well for me Terriamn.

My grandson asked me to make him a t shirt quilt. I have avoided them like the plaque but he has never asked for anything as an adult so of course I said I would try. What kind of interfacing do you recommend for under the T’s?

GramE we will anxiously be waiting to hear from you

Hello to all. Just got home. Implant placed and turned on low. They are calling me later to adjust it if needed, and will be calling me everyday for a week. No pain. When I got there my feet were purple and cold. They are now pink and kinda warm. On the way it was storming, grey clouds, no sun. We came around a bend in the road and there was a beautiful giant rainbow over us. No sun. God was reminding me that He was with me, He knew I would like a sign. I’m hoping to be very productive this week. I’m not supposed to wear myself out but I am supposed to walk more than 400 steps a day. Might have to do a bit of shopping. I could run to Shipshewanna. I’m happy just going to the hardware/fabric store.

Thank you all for your prayers. Nap time now, maybe sewing later.

Good to hear from you, GramE! It sounds like the device is working for you, already!

Terri, the houses top is so cute! For T shirt interfacing, I forget what it is called but what I used was a fusible tricot knit made for T shirts. It has a little bit of "give" to it. I bought some at JoAnn's and then later found a better deal from a seller on Ebay.

Wow, GramE, it sounds like the implant may really help you. I hope you’ll be able to get your steps in without pain. How exciting for you.

Terriamn, your houses quilt is fabulous! please feel free to post as large a pic as you want of anything other than blocks. Those are the only ones I need to move and work much better when small. Even your completed finishes can be as large as necessary to see all the detail.

Thanks so much for your kindness about Bear Branch. I love this one and am trusting it to a long armer because I just won’t be able to do it justice. I once figured out how many pieces were in it but forgot. Suffice it to say there are a lot. WMUTeach, I didn’t open the seams. It’s been pressed twice now with seams to the side and I hope it’ll be ok. I’m not expecting perfection, just a nicely quilted piece that’ll hold all those bits together. I did follow Bonnie Hunter’s pressing instructions and she’s never let me down yet!

Have a fine evening. I’m off to finish our tax return. Gosh, I just hate doing it but ours is never very complicated.

GramE, I hope the implantation of the device goes smoothly. I hope it works well and can lead to a vast improvement in your comfort and life. I’ll be thinking about you today. Hugs.

Today is straighten up the sewing room day again after my furious crumb block making of the last several days. I want to take a large quilt top to the LA on Friday so I’d better get cracking and press, press, press those gazillion pieces into place. It’s my BH Bear Branch top I made a couple of years back. It may be my all time favorite top.

Hope you all have a grand day. I look forward to more blocks this week.
Janice, this is a beautiful quilt, I love the teal and brown colors, stunning.

Great quilt, The Doors made me smile. I might have to make this with my scraps. Is there a site or pattern to look up?

Terriamn - love when the houses have pictures in the doors/windows - makes a person want to look at each house individually to find the surprise!
GramE - what a change in your feet ! And the rainbow was Him shining on you

Here are two for NZQuilter. I recall you saying something about stained glass look so tried in that direction. Loved your homemade fabric
