GramE it would be great if you could ever manage to get the grandsons on the couch for an updated picture

Log Cabin very fun Halloween block and Sewbiz’s is so pretty love the lavender and purples you added

HAV stunning block for NZ.

GramE our Canadian friends aren’t political but they are afraid for their safety. We are hoping for things to settle down between our country’s leaders

Macybaby, what a gorgeous show of your creative blocks! And... I love mine! Thank you so much for making me that pretty block. You have a great talent for putting fabrics together.

Hav, your pp blocks are wonderful! NZ's star just sparkles.

GramE, that's a fine passel of boys! And to think that they grew up to serve their country... wow. You are so blessed!

LC, thank you for the beautiful star block you made with my purple protea fabric! Looks gorgeous. Your halloween block is super, too.

We had a lovely dinner out with Ibex and her sweet hubby last night! Tho we both live in central MS, there hasn't been much time to get together in years. She works in NO and is there all week, and her time is short when she comes home to MS. Plus I'm often in Memphis.... This is Spring Break, and she was home all week so we were able to get together! Yay!

I've been captivated by the Eagle nestcam at Big Bear park. I have it on my computer and listen to and watch it all day. So much fun and excitement. Two of their 3 eggs have now hatched, and the third has "pipped"... started the exit hole in the shell. It will come out soon, maybe today? You have to wait until the big eagles get up off the nest to see the baby eaglets... so cute with their grey fluffy feathers. There are now 4 dead fish in the nest, which the parents pick pieces from to feed their babies. LOL. It snowed about 4-5 inches on them yesterday, but the eagles kept their brood warm and dry up under their feathers. Such amazing creatures!

DH and I have been watching the eagles too - very fascinating to see how both parents take turns on the nest, and interact with each other.

I've got a few more blocks done today. The ones I have left are black/dark backgrounds so I'll be switching over to black thread. I've got two March BOM blocks cut and waiting as they also are sewn with black thread.
The blocks are for Lstew2212, Janice McC and AnnaQuilts.

The eagles were just on the national news. So exciting!

The blocks are still coming at a good pace. Macybaby, thank you for your beautiful block for me. I'm so happy with the blocks for me. They're all wonderful.

My surgery is set for about 2 weeks from now. I pulled out a Christmas table runner that I hand stitched maybe 20 years ago. As long as I'm going to be sitting around for a little while, I might as well hand quilt it. I have the thread but have to find my quilting needles. Wish I thought of this earlier as I was at the LQS this morning.

Ibex and SBG, how nice that you had the opportunity to meet and enjoy a meal together. It sounds like you hit it off.

Have a happy weekend.

Yes, I think we hit it off a long time ago! Ibex was the one who persuaded me to join this group… Boom 17. Seems like yesterday.

Here is the finished, second Bee quilt. I love it! Ibex, your block is top row, center. (Picture didnt get quite enough light.)

Sewbizgirl, beautiful quilt! I am glad I got to make a block for it! I wish you all could see the amazing work SBG does on all her quilts. When are you going to put some in the shows? I'll have to nag at you to do it. There are a couple at the MS Museum of History right now that I need to go see. The Art museum in town has some hanging always, too.

Everyone's BOOM blocks are gorgeous! Janice, thank you for the gallery. Spring is almost here! Don't forget daylight savings time is about to start. BLEH.

This is awesome! It is wonderful having children/grandchildren that are so devoted to public service. I'm really glad you're finding some relief from the instrument. Prayers answered. I'm sorry there is going to be a transition of less relief while they upgrade the system. Science is amazing!

That's crazy! Eagle watchers of the world unite!

I'm glad you're scheduled and ready for surgery. It will be over and you'll be feeling great faster than you expect.

Janice so glad your surgery is scheduled once again

Ibex and Sewbiz how exciting that you were able to spend some quality time together.

Sewbiz your quilt turned out so beautiful. Where is this one going?

Macybaby 3 more wonderful blocks. Each one is beautiful

Something fragrant is blooming here, I was told orange blossoms. Oh my they are almost sensory overload in the areas with multiple trees. To strong for hubby but I enjoy the lovely scent
