I've been MIA for a few days and had so much to catch up on, everyone's blocks are so pretty. Got some yard work done the past few days and bought over 30 azalea bushes to replace one's that were not doing well any longer.
Janice, great fussy cutting on Terri's baby fabric! Glad your sleepover with the Grands was a success.
Hav4, thank you for the paper piece block you made out of the wine fabric, it's gorgeous!
MacyBaby, love the beautiful blocks you made for me, thank you!
TG, the floral fabric blocks you made for me are just wonderful! Especially love the block with the elongated star in the center, thank you!
I may shamelessly have to copy NZ's idea with the tie dyed for a future Boom, I am just loving how all of her blocks are turning out!

Two for Cheese! Marti Gras and I hope the turquoise with gold flecks will do and the second is a purple and green variation of the Ohio Star.
I plan to keep making blocks this evening while I watch an opera from AARP. Tomorrow is serious prep day for the dread colonoscopy and Tuesday is the procedure. Will be stitching when I can.
Gorgeous day in the Mitten State: fifty-four degrees and cloudless skies. The geese are courting and honking and picking at the dead winter grass. Glad I am not a goose.

Have4boys - that is so frustrating when you mess up and don't have more fabric. I think two or three patterns that I used took almost all of the fabric sent. The one I made for Janice, I had to sew two scraps together to have a big enough piece for one of the smaller triangles. Cutting can be a challenge when it's a two color block, and smaller pieces makes it worse. Something I really should keep in mind when selecting blocks!

Your block for me is beautiful, Hav. Thank you very much.
I also had an “issue” with Terriamn’s. I had to ask for more as I couldn’t find any online. I made a mistake and damaged the original block I made. I had to remake the block using what was salvageable and fussy cuts from the new piece. So infuriating.

I took some time out and made a quilt for donation to the VFW Auxiliary.
