Fabric only 20% off...not a deal. No sewing notions No tread. No batting. No scissors or rotary cutting mdse. My store is listed as a liquidator store so they will be getting more mdse in. Worth a return trip? No, don't think so. I'm going to watch when needles go on sale and buy them then. Now only 40% off. What is the situation at your local store?

. I haven't heard any good things about the sales going on. 20% off is not a good clearance price to get me to the store.

I found the same at my local Joann store. I only bought patriotic fabrics at 40%off for QOV backings.

I was at one and it was terrible, that store has always been terrible. Boxes sitting everywhere. 20% off is no deal, at times it's been 50%off. Anti-pill fleece, had gotten online for 5.99 a month ago is now 12. with 20% off. I found no deals. They still had a ton of stock sitting in boxes all over.

I rarely went into Joanns anyhow, once I realized that they artificially inflated prices and then offered those fabulous "sales" and coupons.

Thread, I buy online by the cone - over 6,000 yards of Aurifil for less than $40. Rotary blades, I've been using Headly titanium from Amazon for years - $17 for 15 blades. Schmetz needles, I buy a box of 100 for under $40 from Amazon.

Items are delivered to my doorstep within a couple of days.

Lady Di, as much as I hate to say it, right now, these 2 both have Aurifil cones for less than $40 - If you pick the right color

Last week I went to Joanns and it looked like the store had been looted! There were shelves and hooks all over the aisles, artificial flowers in huge piles on the floor, and a sign with the fabric that stated a minimum cut of 2 yards for cotton fabrics and 4 yards for any decorator fabric. Most of the departments were totally empty and where there was any merchandise, like some scrapbooking paper, it all looked shop worn and either damaged or faded. Alrhough the sign on the front door said everything 20-50% off, I never saw anything that was reduced by more than 25%.

Went yesterday to the store in Pensacola. It was the same. What was left was 20-25% off. No deal to regular J's shoppers. It seems odd that some sections were totally cleared, and some were still almost full. I remember when Hancock's Fabrics went out, it was the same. Just a guess but it seems like some manufacturers take back their merchandise. That would explain the total clear out. I can't imagine anyone purchasing all the DMC thread at 20% off.
