I watched the video this morning as well. My heart sank and tears rolled. Donna seemed like an old friend and will be missed by millions. May Matt and the crew continue on, knowing we are here to support them through this. Rest in peace sweet lady!

I was surprised to hear about her passing. I have watched her videos before and she made everything seem so easy. The last video was hard to watch especially when her husband comes on to tell everyone. It pulls on the heartstrings for sure.
Rest In Peace Donna.

Been thinking about her passing and the hole that is left in her family and the quilting community.
But I remember watching one of her videos. Starts with coffee dripping into a mug. Her taking the mug to the frig, grabbing a half gallon of chocolate milk and adding it to her coffee. Out the door, to her car, and off to work. Made me smile then and makes me smile today.
Rest in peace, Donna and may everyone have fond memories of her.
I think I'll buy some chocolate milk for coffee tomorrow.

Such sad news. Her video tutorials were amazing. She just had a way of making a pattern look doable for anyone, beginner to advanced quilter. This last video was hard to watch, Matt held it together pretty well I thought, but it is apparent, she will be so missed by her family and her quilting followers. RIP Donna, a great soul that that left this world a better place.

I cried when I watched the last video of her and then Matt’s explanation and tribute to Donna. Although I’ve never met Donna, it felt like I’d lost an old and dear friend. Quilting and encouraging us to the end. She will be sadly missed by friend and family alike.

In 2018 I took a bus trip with a group of quilters up to the Sisters Outdoor Quilt show up in Oregon. I was not really familiar with Jordan Fabrics at the time, but we had a few stops at quilt stores on the trip and hers was one of them. We went on a Sunday and they opened the store just for our group. Such an amazing store with all of their pre cuts packaged so beautifully and lots of yardage too. They sold fabric scraps by the pound which I had never seen before. Donna was there and actually cut fabric for me. I also took a few pictures of the store and one of the employees saw me doing so and said "you probably want a picture with our celebrity" I didn't know what she meant, but Donna came over and took a picture with my friend and I. Of course, once I got home I looked into what Jordan Fabrics was all about and became a fan. I loved Donna's teaching style and her calm and matter of fact way. I have made several quilts she featured on her tutorials and hope they continue to teach and inspire many more quilters to come. It was heartbreaking to watch her husband on the video. He is clearly devastated and rightly so. Our quilting community was a better place with Donna in it and she will be missed.
