You can't go wrong with wrong log cabin quilt patterns. There's so many out there to make. I finally made my 1st logcabin quilt back in 2010 when I was waiting for my house to sell down in Florida. I'd put all my sewing room into storage so had to go out and buy another sewing machine, makeshift cutting table from JoAnne's, fabric, etc. Once I moved up here to Iowa and my mother saw the quilt as a flimsy, she wanted it instead of the quilt I made for her but I told her she'd have to wait until I got a larger quilt machine as all I had was an 18" stretched Juki on a 10ft Grace Pro frame. Went to my 1st quilt show in Des Moines and tried out all sorts of quilt machines and decided when the time came, I'd get a 24" Innova on a 12 ft frame. Brought home the prochures, told my mother about it as she was living with me at the time and 2 weeks later she gave me a check to buy the Innova plus enough to upgrade my robotics which at the time was an updated PCQ/MQR. Now I use IQ robotics as the MQR folks took off to Canada never to be seen or heard from again with our money to update the robotics.
I've made a couple more variations of logcabin quilts and love everyone one them.
