Heather, I have no good resources for applique but I'd love to see the Cinderella dress!
My April envelopes are going out tomorrow.

Mailed envelopes yesterday at post office.

I just finished sandwiching another candy quilt so pictures will be for next month. I did finish the top I made last year and got it ready to head out the door. A day early as tomorrow is packed out.

TG, I know that pattern! One of my fall back choices for using up 2.5s, Growing Up Odd. I like the soft pastel colors you chose. Thanks for the photo

I finished 5, YES! F-I-V-E projects this past week. Oh none were BIG but it felt so good to take them off the To Do List. This lead me to look at some of the detritus hiding out in my sewing room and what did I find? Yes, indeed a project box of 2.5s from 2023 and then in another project box the 2.5's from our Christmas side swap of a couple of years ago. I chastised myself for not taking care of these but it was such a pleasure to travel back in time and sort all of the 2.5s that were sent to me. I found so many little treasures and a few bigger treasures too. (Wink, Wink!) Now I really need to start a new project using 2.5's. I have a retreat coming up and along with a couple more UFO's on my agenda, I am thinking of taking a 2.5 project to get me started using up my "pinks". The lid will barely snap shut.

Here are my two pieces for 2.5 day, which is tomorrow by the way. How did it get here so quickly? First is my Star Trails quilt top that is all 2.5's from 2022. Each row is from a different swapper. The second picture is a little block for the Boom Swap group. I used some of your contributions to my 2.5 stash to make and I Spy block.

Looking for more photos from you and your progress to use 2.5's.

I love both those patterns, TG and WMU. Thanks for sharing the finishes.

I sent my birthday envelopes in the mail today.

I do not have anything to show for 2.5 day. I've been busy finishing a top that I started about 5 years ago. and today I made 2 coordinating pillowcases.

WMUTeach, love your star candy quilt! I’m attaching a pic of my 2.5 quilt. This pic is before I started binding it but it’s about 1/3 done now. It’s my giant scrappy swoon begun in March of, gulp, 2015. Ten years. Finally found the gumption last week to meander it so I’m down to the last few hours hand binding to the back. Thanks for looking.

Here is a photo of what Nelco has been working on using her 2.5s. "I have all the rows sewn and I will be sewing them all tomorrow for the final top." (Happy to post the photo. )

----Yeh, candies at work in a number of sewing rooms. And other sewing rooms busy with non-candy projects too. Be encouraged and press on to YOUR finish.

Nelco, nice going!!! I look forward to seeing the top finished. Love these candy quilts!

I’m going to put in a little time on my binding. If I’m very lucky, I’ll have the finished quilt to post before the day is out.

I finally have something to show. I was playing around putting candy squares together with half-square triangles and came up with this quilt for CASA (Court Appointed Special Assistant). These volunteers help children who are abused and neglected. Our guild makes quilts with a pillowcase carrier for these children who end up with nothing to call their own.

I made it two-sided when I had enough fabric leftover to make a big pinwheel on the back. I hope some little girl will love it.

JENNR8R, love the candy quilt. Front and back. No why didn't I think of that layout? I saved a photo of the front to use when I need an idea for a 2.5 quilt.+ scraps. CASA is a quiet organization that is so important for children who must travel through the court system. Glad you can be involved. I had students that did internships with CASA.

Nice to hear from you. I am assuming that your back to something closer to "normal" after your accident.
