Hi Ladies! Just checking in! I'm excited to announce that my BOOM quilt that used the Batiks is quilted and now I'm hand sewing the binding on! It's almost done for my nephew! 
Can't wait to post a picture when I complete the binding! Hope everyone is hanging in there!

LC, I just got a FB announcement about the Capital City Quilt Guild show in October. Are you involved with that group at all? I told my son who lives in Lansing and he may go with me. It would be fun to meet up or to see some of your efforts on display.

Good morning. My knee looks pretty good and it doesn’t really hurt beyond the swelling and the tiny incision points. Today I’m going to take a little walk as directed by the surgeon. Looks like I can get into my sewing room today, too. Feeling good about the surgery.
Looking ahead, I’m thinking about the next Boom starting in August to be finished before the holidays are in full swing. Hope you all will consider joining again.

So glad for the good news on your recovery Janice. Enjoy your slow walk.
We are following in Janice’s foot steps. Power went out here again. This time totally unexpected. Has been raining and we had a great thunder storm last night but just some light rain this morning when power went out. Boy you find out just how dark your bathrooms are without windows when the power goes out. Still can’t complain we seriously needed that rain.
Just steamed clean the floors in the kitchen, dining and living room for I hope the last time for this year. Plan on leaving next Sunday for Minnesota.l

So glad your recover is going better than you expected at first. This I trust your first little walk went well. Take care and once again, keep the ice bag filled. On my agenda tonight is to squish the little bags and get the envelop ready for a run to the post office tomorrow morning. Tracking number to follow of course.
I am still plunging into UFOs and unfinished projects. Working on assembling the Lori Holt Happiness is Scrappiness quilt that I started February 2024 as a quilt group sew-a-long. I switched out some of the original blocks and replaced them with others, so I got behind. Should finish tomorrow. I also made HSTs from a bag of scraps that were donated to me a few years ago. I want to get this kind of stuff out of my sewing room. So far 100 HSTs and more awaiting, but they will wait for another day. My own UFOs await my attention.
I will likely do the Boom again. August is good for me and getting done before the holidays is even better.
