I finished 2 blocks (week 10 blocks 18 & 19) on the Jessica Dayon 2025 Scrappy Sampler (leaves me 6 behind). I had a super productive 4 day weekend, it just wasn’t sewing productive! As spring is here my sewing time will be scaling back as gardening and outdoors time ramps up.
I am trying to use mixed greens in blocks, to help drive more cohesion and spread greens throughout the quilt more. I think it will help address my earlier troubles with “this block is green-green, but that block is teal-green, and side by side they don’t go!”

I'm hoping to have time to sew today and get caught up on the two I'm working on. I'm another one that has been spending a lot more time working outdoors right now. I'm sort of looking forward to the hot days of summer when I'll stay inside and sew. Kind of the opposite of what I'm use to, where I'd stay inside and sew during the cold days of winter!

@thimblebug6000 I look forward to each of these adorable animal blocks you post.
Saturday was beautiful outdoors weather and was outdoors time put towards a new vegetable bed and kicking back some weeds that got a little uppity last year, but today has been a pouring rain waterlogged mess so I did get some stitching in!
I completed one block from my Jessica Dayon Scrappy Sampler.
From my Rustling Leaves BOM I competed two identical blocks (block 11). I also scavenged the setting kit to get the fabric that was shorted in another block kit and finish that block. For piecing on this quilt, I have two block #12 kits to go (planned for May) and I pulled out some blocks from the setting kit I know I will use (planned for June). So, optimistically, I think July will be the month to piece this top.

I’ve been pecking away at my JD Scrappy Sampler - three more blocks completed. I have accrued quite a list of incomplete blocks that require printing a pattern that I’ll either substitute for or improvise. I think/hope this is the final week so I can stop feeling like I’m falling behind!
