My blocks arrived last Friday. Thank you everyone!!! They are all so pretty and amazing and definitely fit the vision I had of this quilt!

I'm sorry about my absence on the QB lately. I've been feeling really sick and lethargic for the past few months. Everyday is exhausting and a struggle just to be engaged as a mom. I had some blood work done and, lo and behold, I'm pregnant again! That explains it, lol! I'm just finishing up the first trimester, so hopefully I get my energy back in a few weeks, especially with summer vacation around the corner and all the kiddos home, and summer sports!

NZ, congrats on the new life you will be bringing into the world! Hope you can get the rest you need.

Janice, the new Boom dates will work for me too!

Terri, don't blame you for being anxious to see your blocks. Glad you had such a wonderful trip!

Janice, enjoy the sleepover. It's funny, because the gks have WAY too many toys at their house. But at my house (in Memphis) I have only a small collection of toys, yet they always get excited about playing with them. I keep bubbles and chalk on hand, as they love bubbles outside, and drawing on my wooden fence with chalk. I think it's just exciting to them to come to BonBon and Grandpa's house. What they play with is of lesser concern. They love swinging and sliding on the swing set, too. When they get too big to care about these things I will be truly sad.

Congratulationns, NZ I bet you are feeling blessed yet hoping it is just a singleton and not another pair! Time to get that house extension going and finished. I am seeing more "gingers" populating the neighborhood.

Good morning. Been awake since 4 with the windows all open and breathing the fresh air. I’m reading a book to pass the time until the rest of the household awakens.

NZQ, congratulations on your news! I’m happy for you and your family.

Today is babysitting for us at the grands then tomorrow afternoon they come to us for the much anticipated sleepover. Just as you said, SBG, they’re content to play with the few toys we have for them. Letter blocks, cars, playdoh, crayons and markers and such, plus DH sets up a “castle”, a little indoor tent. We also always feed the catfish in the pond, go for walks and play dolls with the ones they bring with them. Kind of basic but they’re happy! We did get a request for popcorn and cocoa with marshmallows. We can accommodate that one.

Have a good weekend. I’ll check back in a few days to see what’s up.

Congratulations on another little one - You are an inspiration to me! love how you love being a mom.

Janice- all the great memories I have with my grandparents and great aunt when we had sleepovers! Cooking with her and especially a big farm breakfast. Always had the big bible Story book for a story each night. My great aunt was an avid letter writer, so I would sit with her and "write" a letter to someone! It is the small things that they will remember.

NZQ, congratulations on being blessed with another baby on the way. My husband was one of thirteen children in his family ( 9 boys and 4 girls), so we know what it is like to be a part of a large family. The family bond they share is very strong, we continue to celebrate holidays and a summer vacation every year.

Looking forward to the next Boom!

Looking forward to Boom 34, I anticipate Signup’s will begin July 27. The swap would wrap up just before Thanksgiving. I hope those of you who are interested can use the dates to get ready.

Have a great evening.
I've put this on my calendar to be sure I check in late July for the new swap!
