Also a heads-up for someone looking for a one day mystery on May 17th
    https://www.merrymayhem.com/one-day-...-mystery-quilt
Other years she has just done the New Year’s one, but apparently this year she is doing one each month. I still have my April’s finished top to sandwich, but I have been trying to complete the Pat Sloan March block a day one,,,,too many projects for me to take on another one right now. If you decide to participate, please post your work, thanks!

Pretty Blocks! I've been doing a lot of yard work the last few weeks, and not much sewing. I'm putting in a short retaining wall in the front so I can have some flower beds. Front yard has a decent slope so this creates a level spot. Part is under a tree and part is in the sun so I'll have plenty of room for both shade loving and sun loving plants. My DD has been giving me hostas so it's nice to have a home for them. DH and I will be dog sitting for her the last week of May, so I don't think I'll get much sewing done until June. Will have lots to get caught up on by then!

I complete my last blocks for the Jessica Dayon Scrappy Sampler. The last block was 89 pieces, but very pretty.

I ended up replacing several FPP blocks with log cabin or improvised pieces blocks to use scraps and avoid needing to print stuff.

I am in the process of making the coping/framing HSTs/QSTs/four patches used to make the 9” blocks fit in with the 6 and 12” blocks. This was a week 1 task by I wanted to do it at the end to get a better sense of what colors were needed to balance.

    Up next will be layout/setting.

Just wanted to check in with the thread and say hello! Both of my BOM projects have all the blocks complete and are ready for layout and setting. Both have also been set aside to dust off a UFO I am feeling really motivated to move out the door.

it’s in the same step (blocks made, ready to piece the top) and I figured if I’m really itching to get that one done, isn’t one as good as the next?

I will be sure to come back and post once my BOM projects make it back on the working rotation and start making progress again.
