I have some rather boring florals that were cut up for a previous boom that is calling out to be used. My preference would be to join with 2 sets but will wait till it gets closer to make a final decision. The hand cramping is still an issue with my sewing, more so with the cutting. Need to be patient.

Last night we watched a documentary on mail quilters in prison. It was very interesting and they get all their fabric from donations making from baby to king size quilts. Told hubby well now you know where you can donate my fabric when the time comes

Terriamn, Mia’s quilt is lovely! Beautiful work. So bright and cheerful!

it’s quiet here after a stormy night. More noise than rain for a change.

Had more excitement yesterday morning as a large black bear was walking through the neighborhood. DH looked out the window and it was walking out of our cul-de-sac up the road. It crossed through a neighbor’s yard then crossed another street right in front of some friends who were walking. It never changed its slow amble although our friends stopped to let it pass. I missed it as I was at a friend’s house for coffee but this was the talk of the neighborhood.

Got a little more sewing done on the binding. Geez, it isn’t holding my attention right now.

Have a pleasant day.

No bears, no storms, no charming baby quilt but I did walk to the local grocery this morning because I was out of my favorite breakfast foods. (Sometimes shopping every two weeks doesn't quite make it.) Anyway, as I walked past a building with a covered porch that extends over the sidewalk, I got dive bombed by two pair of swallows. A quick look up and yes, there was a nest likely with little ones. Just parents protecting their wee ones by distracting walkers from their nest. A little farther down the covered walk, another nest and more dive bombing. This happens every early summer and we human neighbors do appreciate the swallows soaring through the air eating mosquitoes. When we walk by we just put out head down and walk by quickly so as not to frustrate the birds.

Happy quilting every one. Have a wonderful and productive day no matter what you choose to do.

Thank you on Mia’s quilt

Had my first mental heath therapy session and pretty much cried the entire time. The good news is this might be a menopausal problem and I have an appointment next week to discus that and the pros and cons of HRT therapy with a gynecologist. Another learning opportunity. Only a few suggestions as this was pretty much fact finding. First advice suggested was no news the first and last hour of your day. Second not one politician cares that I personally can’t handle the politics and that I’m allowing myself to be anxious and having panic attacks. Need to find a coping process to stop the attacks and because I feel the need to express my feelings what is a healthy process. Lots to learn My joy has jumped ship and I’m on the hunt for it.

Maybe some of this will help someone else.

Good morning. Lost another bird feeder to the black bear yesterday late morning. It seems we’re on its daily path now so the birds are going to be without a feeder until (hopefully) it moves on. It’s a personal loss as I get a lot of pleasure from seeing all those lovelies flock to the feeders but we can’t encourage the bear to stick around.

Terriamn, am happy you are getting some answers. So many people are simply willing to live with the pain rather than get some assistance. Good for you.

We’re prepping for the grand girls overnight visit again this weekend. We’ll have them more than 24 hours this time so we’ve got some planning to do as they get testy when they’re not busy.

Have a great day.

Terri, I may have missed a post of yours but if you're having panic attacks I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy. I've had them and they are awful. I hope you find out what you can do about them.
Sewbiz- I LOVED Brian Wilson!!! He was a musical genius and I will always appreciate his gifts to the world. I was so sad to hear that he died. I have a ton of Beach Boys music in my library and listen to them a lot. They always make me happy. And to think that the 3 brothers are all gone is just mind blowing.

I had my dreaded colonoscopy on Monday and he found one small polyp that he feels is benign but will be tested. I hate the prep so I didn't eat for 2 days, only liquids. Then I only needed half of that huge bottle of prep to clean out. YAY!! So glad it's over.

We're going on a family vacay next week. Our middle son bought a summer home on Cape Charles in Virginia and we are all going. It's hard to arrange schedules but they did it. I'm looking forward to it!

Terri, glad you have someone you can talk to and get help with your feelings. I was on HRT for 10 years and got breast cancer. I know the HRT caused it. So be really careful with that, and don't stay on it long-term.

SusieQ, glad to find a fellow Brian Wilson lover! He had so much oppression (with schizophrenia) and a hard childhood with his abusive father and alcoholic mother, and YET he still made some of the world's most beautiful music. That beauty was in him and had to come out. He was a truly beautiful soul.
Hope you have a great vacay with your family.

Speaking of such, my kids and gks from Memphis are all coming to spend the weekend here. We don't live in a spic and span house, so we've been doing lots of washing and cleaning, in prep for their visit. I don't have to plan the activities as my daughter always comes with an agenda and lots of ideas. It will be great to have them here.

Janice, can local wildlife authorities not pick up the bear and move him? If he's damaging property they ought to be able to relocate him for you, I would think.

Instead of HRT, maybe a very low dose of Cymbalta? Not to scare you, HRT was not kind to my mom either, she passed away from cancer. During Covid, I had some anxiety and benefitted from feedback type of therapy. It worked with breathing and calming yourself. Hugs
