    Default 60" Sweat Shirt Fabric

Now that we no longer have a JoAnn's and no fabric shop nearby, I have to resort to purchasing on-line. Without being able to feel the fabric I'm afraid of the quality I will get. I'm in need of 60" sweat shirt fabric. Have any of you bought any and where is my best source?

Knitfabric.com They have a large selection. I've never purchased from there, but there are a lot of places if you do a search for Sweatshirt fabric.

They seem to have good reviews. Just do a search for Knitfabric.com reviews and it will pull up a few sites with reviews.

    Some reviews for Knitfabric.com

Looks like by your signature you have a Michigan connection?? You might try Fields Fabrics, a small local chain. I have gotten several strange internet searches there, as well as been to the Grand Rapids store in person.

Not a huge amount of selection, but here's a specific search result:

I got this email from SewVeryCrafty yesterday. I have no idea what they have but it might be worth checking out.Hi everyone, I recently received an email from a reader who said that Michael's does not sell fabric. I wanted to take the opportunity to let those of you who do not know that Michael's bought the Joann's name and their fabric line. You can buy fabrics online at https://track.flexlinkspro.com/g.ashx?foid=2.4209848&trid=1115447.187110&foc=17&fot=9999&fos=6&url=https%3a%2f%2fwww.michaels.com%2fshop%2ffabric-sewing-shop.

Some stores may have fabrics and notions in the store but for now it is primarily online. They have a whole selection of Joann's fabrics to choose from so if you haven's checked it out yet head over using the affiliate link and see what they have.

thanks for all of your support.

Thanks for sharing that information. I had not heard that. I had purchased fabric from Joann's in the past and batting also. It wasn't too expensive if you had a coupon or the fabric was on sale. I will have to keep that in mind when I need some.

You're welcome. I wouldn't have known anything about it if I wasn't signed up for the SewVeryCrafty newsletter. I haven't heard this anywhere else so I can't verify its accuracy

If you go on the Michael's website, it says right on the heading about them having Joann's. It is at the end of the heading and says: Joann shoppers

In the Dallas area, the Town East store does carry some fabrics (a couple of short aisles). I do a lot of community service piecing and they have good prices on some 108" fabric. I've not been in their other local stores.

I have bought fabric at Michael's lately, decent price (and no Joann coupon games), the selection isn't huge but I was there this past Tuesday and they had moved all of the licensed and kid/novelty fabrics to a second aisle and looked like they were going to be stocking more quilt fabrics. I'll go back by in a week or three and see what the selection looks like.
