When this heat wave cools down I may be able to enjoy doing some sewing.(-:

Good morning everyone. Just as a way to point us in a fall like perspective, I had to close the windows before crawling back into bed with my fuzzy robe on to check email. It is 49 degrees! Burrrrr. Not words that have fallen off my lips for some time now.

Today is work on a 2.5 quilt day! I have been lingering over finishing a UFO that is made of 2.5 from this group. It only needs quilting. To the sewing room!!!!

Have a marvelous day and stitch just a little on something today.

TG, love the blocks! I’m going to see if I can find any of mine.

TG, spent some time looking at the little squares in your quilts and found more than one that could be mine. Tee-Hee-Hee! Not all of my packages are the same so, I can't remember which ones are "really" from me and which "could" be from me. None-the-less. Three cheers again for putting your candy to work so quickly.

Good progress on my Star Trails UFO made with your 2.5" squares from a few swaps ago. Just a little bit of more quilting, square up and add binding. Will be done by the end of August, just barely!

I am happy to say the Sept birthdays are in the mail. My husband says I have some unusual envelopes waiting for me. I'll post a list of treasured arrivals when I break free of the grandkids that I haven't seen in two weeks! I will make sure that my mailperson is aware that some of the envelopes may be misnumbered so they still make it to me. I have been there for 20 years now so hopefully, they will match name despite missing digit, if any come through that way. Thank you all for worrying!

We had a cool front make it to New Orleans. We are not in the 80s anymore! For the moment. We are no where near WMUTeach's 49 degrees F. Wow! I would love to be living up there right now! My husband would hate it but I would love it!

Please stay healthy everyone. My next post will be from MS!! Yay!!

TravelingGramma -- your quilt is glorious! I love that you are putting little bits of our memories into it. This is definitely inspirational!

The candies are in the mail. Hopefully the holiday won't delay them by much. Cleaning out some of my stash and boy I wonder why I have kept some prints. I know the saying, cut ugly's up small and they will look better. I am not sure about that with some I have found. But I do have to keep in mind that I did get given 4 totes of fabric from an estate, so some of the ugly's I didn't buy LOL. Have a great long weekend everyone. Best....H.
