    Default Any Reason Not to?

I'm working on a disappearing 9 patch for a donation quilt. I just decided to go with 5" squares and add a border if I need to make it larger.

Now, the question.....Is there any reason not to sew long strips of the three fabrics and cut it into the needed increments? I am making the same strip set again and again. I've not tried this before, but it makes sense that it would work. It works when you make 9 patches.

    Seems workable to me.

These are 9-patches - you are just going to cut them up after you have assembled.

Duh! Yes, they are just nine patches. Sometimes I'm a little slow on the uptake.

I had to think about it for a minute. You would sew 2 strips with ABA fabrics and 1 strip with BAB fabric--right?? and then subcut?? Sounds like a timesaver to me!!

I think that's how I did my one and only disappearing 9-pack. Sure saves time.
