No blocks today, but I did go to an estate sale of a women that had attending my quilt group a few years ago. She passed away about a year ago and her family has been trying to clear her house. I walked away with almost 24 yards of good quilting fabric for $20 dollars. It is musty smelling but not soiled. I am washing it this evening and pressing as I go. I did my best to focus on colors that I need. My joy is that there are a number of cuts that are enough yardage to be used as backing. That sure works for me! Maybe some of the UFO will take the next step to leave my sewing room.

Tonight.... something on the screen and adding the binding to a hospice quilt that needs repair so it can serve a few more folks. .

That is wonderful, Terri! I'm sure your quilting friend would be glad to have her quilt buddies end up with her stash. Great purchase!

Better leave the coffee alone tonight, Janice. LOL. Just a reminder....

Opps, SBG, you must really be uncomfortable and in great pain. I am the the one who purchased the bargain fabric. Rest easy tonight, my dear and dream of beautiful quilts, puppies and playing with your grands.

Yes, it was you who got the great score! Lucky....
Thanks, it was painful the first couple of days but my back pain is starting to let up. I went to the dr. today to get my Robaxin refilled. My last bottle was 2 years expired and I could tell it had lost potency. I hope I'll feel even more normal by tomorrow.

Oh Sewbiz so sorry on your back. Have experienced that ping myself and it is horrendous. Hope the pain lets up soon.

WMUT great buys especially on the large enough pieces for backings.

Heading to the lake today to sit with my friend as she closes up her camper by herself for the first time. Some one on one time together will be a pleasant end to the summer.

Didn’t get a darn thing done yesterday afternoon.

Hi, all.
Hubby and I have been down. Seems like everyone has a touch of that as the days roll by. I hope everyone is getting better. It'll take me a bit to catch up on all the gossip. All the blocks are looking great on the weekly site. Thanks Janice!
This tablet won't let me post photos. I'll have to use the big laptop, so I'll do that soon. Anyone else have that issue?

Ouch SBG, been there done that! Hopefully you will feel much better with the new RX.

Two blocks for today, one for TG and one for Susie. TG. that 4" fabric you included looked so nice together with the blue fabric that I looked for a pattern that could use that 4" piece. Your block looks a little wonky in the picture, but it truly is square.

I am feeling much better today, thank you!

Cheese, lovely blocks! I agree the blue star looks good with the red center. And the basket of flowers is a beauty! Nice work!

A2P, hope you and the hubby have the short version of the "crud". Feel better soon. Rest is really important.

Sewbiz- I feel for you! My husband has been dealing with back issues and it's no fun.
Cheese- what a lovely block you made me! It's one of my favorite blocks. Thank you! Isn't it called Cake Stand or something?
