Good day to all you beautiful Roses! Janice, I'm glad your accounts are back online.

SBG - lots of fermented foods will keep the c diff away. I'm sorry you keep getting impacted by that awful bacteria. It lives in all of us but sometimes our flora get out of whack. I need to go find some sauerkraut!

Hav4boys - hang in there! Both you and your DH.

I still have no blocks to contribute to the gallery but soon I will be adding my pretties to the collections in the gallery. You are all doing great things with these great fabrics! Have a good week everyone.

Good morning! We are finally getting the rain we desperately needed… praise the Lord! This is the week that our weather typically changes to cooler temps. It’s the week the state fair is here, in Jackson. Still looking for those cooler temps.

Ibex, good to hear from you. This is my first encounter with C Dif. Hope it never recurs! I will look up what foods are fermented. Can’t handle sauerkraut… lol. Thanks for that tip.

Hi Sewbiz- so glad you're on the mend. C Diff is everywhere. Some people are more inclined to have it proliferate than others. I urge you to get probiotics in your system. They are wonderful to balance out your flora. Antibiotics are good but they also kill a lot of our good flora. It's a frustrating thing.because you need them for different illnesses etc but they also destroy. There are probiotic drinks at the grocery store that taste good. My husband is prone to C Diff and uses probiotics daily. They've made a world of difference.

Janice I get the RSV shot for my grandkids. The twins who were Premies (sp?) ended up in the hospital two years in a row for RSV. One of them 5 days. I always make sure I’m vaccinated for RSV before they show up at Christmas. They seem to be over the hospitalization phase at 4. They get Covid and Flu shots for me. They explained to me they got two shots but only one band aid. They always show off their boo boos on our FaceTime calls.

I wish I could give everyone good health. Have I’m glad youre back.

I’m putting together a package so I can work on boom blocks during the Joshua Tree Music Festival. I won’t be able to sew but I can cut stuff out and have everything already to go! I’ll be finishing up lots of blocks next week. We were going to do a full two week trip but the National Parks aren’t staffed and I decided I had enough vacations for the year.

SusieQ, great blocks for Janice and GramE.
And thanks for the tip about pro-biotics. Good reminder. I don’t like to take antibiotics unless absolutely necessary. And for C Dif it’s absolutely necessary. So I will have to build back a good gut with probiotics.

Oh, joy of joy it is cooler and raining this morning. Forecast is for rain all day and oh, goodness we need it. Like so many places in the mid-west it is very, very dry. Our lakes and streams are disappearing or have very low water levels and fields, forests, and of course yard grasses are looking pretty sad. What a lovely scent, rain. The sounds of rain on the leaves and grass is so peaceful. You can almost hear the earth going ahhhh!

Quilting today will be a few more blocks then to the kitchen for some pumpkin baking. Two events tomorrow and I am bringing treats to both. So I am making pumpkin bread for both and maybe a little pie for myself.

Pumpkin bread sounds delicious WMUT, do you add raisins and or nuts. I like mine with raisins but have found most people don’t care for them.
