Oh my, time gets away with me
SB - Gator is sew darn cute - I don't think I have ever made one!!
LStew - great blocks even with a scratched eye - and then being sick and tooth - ya gotta slow down and take care
Janice - my featherweight is opposite in bobbin and needle threading - so when I take it with me I have to mumble to myself -"She is my favorite because she is unlike any other"
A2P - the block - hmm - I liked one that had templates and years ago just redesigned it to be PP.
Spices - My mother always made sure her food stuff was put away over the winter. one year the mice got into all her spices. What a mess. We had never seen it before and was taken back. One good thing was we got to dump all the old old outdated spices!5"
MJP - love the "Beach Bum' Great!!!
One of the ladies in my Bible Study was diagnosed with Blood cancer so I made her a Hug Shrug for her - I just so happened to have plenty of her favorite color purples!
And Using a pattern I saw I tried it out with my bins of ISpy fabrics. So easy! It is made up of 5" squares and 3.5" corners. I sewed corners twice to get the HST for border.
I went out and had to get white thread - so now onto Janice's blocks.

How kind of you to make the shrug. It is so much nicer than just sitting in bed or on the couch or in a favorite chair in an old robe. Crummy days of feeling yucky need a hug! Pretty, fresh and snuggley, I am sure.

TG what a welcome gift. She will feel your hugs and look beautiful in her shrug.
Love your I spy quilt so different from the usual ones.
Hubby said turnoff the WI-FI and use my hot spot, now I can see the pictures.
Great finishes!

TG, the I Spy quilt is wonderful. Some young one is going to adore all those fun fabrics. The purple shrug for your friend is beautiful as well as functional. Sometimes hospitals are so chilly. She’ll love it.
My little Janome threads so differently from the Juki. It’s easier, fewer steps, but it’s still a chore to thread the needle. I’ll get it soon. It took me forever to learn to use the auto threader on the Juki, too. Now it’s a piece of cake.
Speaking of bugs, we’ve got little gnats in the house for the first time. I think they came in on my houseplants that summered outside. As the heat is now running periodically, they are fewer in number but still around. Grrr.

I love my cool whale star block, MJP! Thank you. Your block for Lstew is great too. You are so creative!
Lstew, sorry about the food poisoning and other problems. Surely you are due some much better days.
TG, love the I Spy and purple shrug! I’m saving your I Spy layout for future reference.
Marty went to the Dr. yesterday and we learned he has injured his back. He runs after deer through the woods, and he’s getting too old for that. So he’s on 3 new meds for 10 days, and is to be “kept quiet”. The doc will check him out again in 10 days.
Janice, I have never been able to get my Juki 2010Q auto threader to work. 🫤

SBG, have you ever seen a video for threading the TL2010? This is how I learned to thread it. Go to YouTube and search “Juki needle threader.” Look for the one posted by SewBytes. It might help. I used to thread it the old fashioned way then I found this video and voila! It clicked. Good luck.
Well, you have answers for Marty’s problem. Ripley had a similar problem from jumping - landing really - after a frisbee. She was in a lot of pain and was on meds for a couple of weeks too. We had to stop playing frisbee and she didn’t like it. Obviously, she couldn’t understand but she stopped hurting.

Stopping in to say hello. I am hosting a Hallelujah party and chili cook-off this Friday at church for couples. Life will slow down after this weekend I hope. I am at the CHP Academy for 2.5 weeks in manager's training. Husband's treatment went well and I am functioning.
Have a wonderful evening.

Thank you MJP for block. Someone needs to nudge me into the world of modern quilts. Let it be you. Your block will be a good addition to my Roses quilt. Thanks! I can be such a traditionalist stick in the mud.
Tee-Hee-Hee!
SBG, so glad you have a cause for Marty's discomfort. Back injuries are so painful! It must be difficult for an animal who has no words to communicate that "my back hurts right here". Glad you can now offer him some relief.
Keep walking Janice. You will get there eventually. You for so long were the rabbit that I tried to catch every day before and after my new hip. At least now that you have slowed down I can catch up with you.
I just can't wait any longer to show these photos of some other beach bums. I snapped them in August at the AQS how in Grand Rapids. The maker of the quilt submitted this quilt as part of her guild's challenge submission at the show. The detail in the five ladies was amazing. Each had a each bag stuffed with quilt magazines, snacks, beverages of all sorts and quilting/sewing projects to finish along with beach paraphernalia. A delightful wall quilt that made every one smile and snicker if they stopped long enough to look. Zoom in for the details. They may bring you a giggle too. Good illustrations of how different we quilters can be yet we are all so alike.

Love love the beach ladies WMUT
Unfortunately I had another panic attack today. I was in Hobby Lobby, the few cashiers that were working had long lines and almost everyone was buying things that had to be wrapped. Add loud music and the gal talking loudly into her phone and it wasn’t up by her ear. Good chance I made it worse by trying to deep breathe -I was practically hyperventilating. Thankfully I didn’t holller at anyone but told the lady behind me I was having an anxiety attack incase I fainted or something. I was so busy trying to calm myself down it never even entered my mind to leave my cart and go outside. Was glad I didn’t embarrass myself but won’t be going back there as they never have enough cashiers at the location closest to me.
Sewbiz we had the same thing happen with our Rio, she took off running full bore and hurt herself, goofy dog. Hope Marty heals quickly.

WMUTeach, love, love, love the beach ladies! As you say, the detail is amazing. The butterfly tattoo, the miralax package, the bottle of alcohol, on and on. Thank you so much for sharing this find. As for walking, right now I’m dealing with a big dose of laziness. I’m just out of the habit and my walking buddy is having health issues and doesn’t walk much. My knee still does swell up but apparently that’s not unusual. Still, it’s mostly laziness.
Terriamn, hugs.
Well, my project that I precut for the retreat, well it didn’t last very long in the bag. I was itching to put it up on the design wall and once I did that, I started stitching! I’ve got to find another project soon. Maybe I’ll make a second one as both will be donation quilts. Pic below. Sorry, the pic is dark. It’s blacks and whites with small color blocks.
It looks like a fine cold morning but it’s hard to tell as the sun won’t be up for another hour. Ernie is still sleeping but I’m guaranteed to get about half a mile walk with him once he eats. That’s something.
Have a good day.
