Sewbiz- when I got my Juki 2010 I couldn't thread it for the life of me. Then I discovered if you have the presser foot in the down position you can easily see the little black hook thing that you have to go through. I haven't had a problem with threading ever since. It's really easy! I had given up trying to use it and then it clicked. I think it was a Youtube video although I seemed to watch a million of them before my success. Remember- presser foot down. Hope this helps.

Ladies, I always enjoy looking at your beautiful blocks, well done everyone!
And also that quilt Janice posted with the black and white strips is striking!
No swaps for me these days, now that the postage is so high, but I admire your commitment to your friends. I will keep on lurking 😀

Love your final 3 blocks, Cheese. Congrats on finishing!

Good to hear your hubby’s surgery went well, Hav. Hope you are feeling better soon. We are all waiting to see your blocks, which are always beautiful.

Love both the Beach Bums quilt and Janice’s b, w and color quilt! And I will try again to work my auto- threader. Thanks for the tips.

Marty seems to be doing better. No more frisbee for him either.

Love the Beach Bums. My niece was showing me art quilts she saw at a show. Amazing crafting and art. Totally not utilitarian!
Janice - simple black and whites with a dash of color - great work

here are my last two - Janice : Flying Geese and End of the Day!
Thank you for another great fun swap.

Beautiful blocks everyone. Plus all the extras. TG, the "I Spy" quilt is amazing. Such creativity! Once when I just needed to get something sewn, I grabbed some 5" squares, made 4 patches, added sashing, and Voila! Floppy top was done. Nothing so nice as yours, but kept me sane for a bit.

The beach ladies quilt is definitely artwork. Love it. Do you remember the line of fabric with "fruit bottom women" ? It was hilarious.

I did not make the quilt. I just took photos of the quilt that was at the Grand Rapids AQS show this past August. It was so memorable and clever and silly that it made me smile.

Fabulous blocks for Janice, TG! I am so often amazed at what you all can make with a little bit of fabric and you own ideas and scraps. Wowzers!

Thimblebug, lurk away. Don’t hesitate to stop in and say hello anytime. Thank you for the comment about my WIP. I’ve started sewing it together and it really is nice. Easy, too.

TG, love the geese! Thank you for the two wonderful blocks. I’m getting excited to see them all together in person.
