Waiting eagerly for my name as I have a cross-state trip planned for next weekend for a baby shower, and am planning my shop-hopping accordingly! I know I'm going to be able to stop at Appletree in Columbia and Quilting Is My Therapy in Liberty, will check if there is anything up by St. Joseph where the shower is. Hope to find some great goodies for my pal while I travel.

My dad's significant other is going to be a Great Great Aunt, so I'm visiting her side of the family for the first time. They like my dad so fingers crossed they'll like me too.

🎄 Stitched with Spirit: Cozy Threads Trivia!

A Quilting + Christmas Online Game

Let’s add some festive stitches to our season! Welcome to Round One – Cozy Threads, where imagination, humor, and quilting spirit collide.

    🧵 How It Works

    1. Jump In and Play:
Everyone who posts answers in this thread is officially entered into the drawing. You don’t have to get every question right—just have fun with it!
    2. Answer with Personality:
These questions are meant to be creative and quirky, not easily searchable. Be as funny, heartfelt, or delightfully off-beat as you like. There are no wrong answers—only boring ones!
    3. No Googling, No AI, No Quilt Police:
Trust your own quilter’s wit and wisdom. We want you in the answers, not the internet.
    4. Spread the Cheer:
Feel free to reply to others’ posts with encouragement, emojis, or playful banter. This is a friendly patchwork of ideas, not a competition.
    5. The Prize:
Every participant’s name will go into Santa’s Sewing Basket.
On November 10, one name will be randomly drawn,
and that person will receive a surprise gift—mailed with love and a sprinkle of holiday thread dust. 🎁✨
    6. A Few Friendly Reminders:
      • Keep it positive and festive.
      • You can post your answers all at once or one question at a time.
Lurkers are welcome, but only posted participants go into the drawing.

    Here we go:
    • Many quilters joke that “fat quarters multiply overnight.” If Santa’s elves borrowed that phenomenon, what would you wake up to on Christmas morning?
(Creative answer wins — think of what elves would mass-produce from a quilter’s stash.)
    • You’re making a Christmas quilt called Silent Night. Every block has a “sound.” Name three quilting tools or steps that make noise, in the order you’d hear them.
    • If Rudolph joined a quilting bee, which notion or tool would he be in charge of, and why?
    • Tradition says the “Yule log” burns all night. What quilting project has ever kept you up all night, and what color describes that night’s mood?

    Default Rudolph

Rudolph would obviously be in charge of the lighting...setting up all the Ott lites for group sewing time.

SCRAPS! I SWEAR THEY BREED! Especially in odd sizes.
    • You’re making a Christmas quilt called Silent Night. Every block has a “sound.” Name three quilting tools or steps that make noise, in the order you’d hear them.
    -Rotary Cutter
    - Sewing Machine
    - Seam Ripper
(bonus) you'd probably hear a quilter cussing somewhere in between those)
    • If Rudolph joined a quilting bee, which notion or tool would he be in charge of, and why?
Rudolph would be in charge of helping with sorting strips, as we could use his antlers to sort them out. He could also help out with color matching, as his nose might function like one of those ruby glass things, but we'd have to try that one out to see.
    • Tradition says the “Yule log” burns all night. What quilting project has ever kept you up all night, and what color describes that night’s mood?
BINDING! I always seem to to be up finishing binding. Red is the color as I'm always mad at myself for leaving it till the last minute.
