Brenda, Oh Brenda, my prayers will be with you now and for the weeks to come. I know that a number of us have had the same diagnosis and walked through this scary time. We understand. My little bit of encouragement to you is medicine and medical treatments are so much improved from the past. Less invasive treatments and more effective medications with fewer side effects makes life with a BC much easier. Cancer centers and the medical teams now recognize that the mental and emotional part of the patient needs care also. Take advantage of all the help that is offered and take the time you need to heal. Keep in touch as you wish and be assured that you have a group of women here that understand and wish to support you.

Thank you for your kind thoughts and words of encouragement WMUteach! I am staying positive and hopeful that there will be no chemo or radiation, although that will be determined after the surgery. I received a call from the surgeon's office today, and they have postponed my surgery until 11/11. Amazingly, they can do a DMX as an outpatient, but they need all the players to be on deck! Apparently, there weren't enough Anesthesiologists available, which caused the reschedule.

I will be home and able to open all my lovely candies on my birthday after all!

Yay, everyone for getting Brenda's packages to her quickly. As you see in her posts, this will be a unique birthday celebration for her and we are part of it by filing her mailbox with lots of candy. Wouldn't it be fun to show up at her door and fling candy squares in the air for her!

Brenda, I had to look up DMX and you have a journey ahead. I had never heard the term before. Well you have the greatest of physicians watching over your medical team.

Good morning everyone....I was wandering through my morning email and the Friday post from this site popped up. This could be a superb use of our 2.5 candies. Easy, clean, simple and could be scrappy or color focused with a consistent background. https://fabric406.com/blogs/fabric40...rs-quilt-block I go to this site often and like the detailed written and photographed directions. I may have stumbled upon my next 2.5 project.

Enjoy your pumpkin "what ever" today.

Well this is a fine example of reading a message and pattern before my eyes are fuily open in the AM with brain engaged. This pattern LOOKS like it is 2.5's but it is not. I will putter around and re create the final block using 2.5's. . Rats, I thought I had a good one to devour piles of 2.5s.

Good Afternoon, I finally was able to get the envelopes in the mail yesterday (Friday Oct. 31st). Brenda, I am crossing all fingers and toes that your envelope gets to you in time. I will be thinking of you. Hope everyone else is doing well. I have not been able to sew anything in months due to my new job schedule and stress from this job. I am hoping to pick things back up now that the holidays are coming.
