Janice, glad you found backs for all your quilts from your friend's stash. She's probably glad too.

Marty is doing much better. He's back to his usual self, except there's a possibility of liver disease. We are watching the signs. He may need to go in for a liver test, but not just yet. His kidneys checked out fine. This cold is hard on his arthritis, but he's in the house most of the time.

sewbiz, so glad to hear your husband is doing much better, still praying for him.

Lol, Lstew... Marty is my dog! You may have missed where we discussed doggie ailments a few pages back....
So sorry for the misunderstanding, I have been reading about Marty the Dog. I just didn't put the two together. LOL

Good morning. I can see the bed in the spare room because all the fabrics I’ve received to date are sorted. Woo hoo! Still more to come though.

Two packages are expected today.

Looks like it’s going to be a nice day today. Hope you have a good one.

Looks like a beautiful day here in the valley, the sun is shining and a crisp 55 this morning.

Today we are off to visit hubby’s sister and husband. Their son was concerned about them not eating properly, we are bringing them some homemade lasagna and garlic bread. Enough for multiple meals. Sad to say they will be getting their house ready to sell at the end of the season. They have slowed way down and need additional help. I have enjoyed the time getting to know them one on one and will miss them

On a happy note today I will start my walkabout quilt today for baby Mia. I am thrilled with finding the perfect color I needed.

SusieQ sure hope your hubby’s health is improving

Thanks, Terri. He's going to need back surgery, unfortunately. He sees the neurosurgeon on the 17th. But at least there is a solution.
It's a gorgeous day here. I am so much perkier in cooler weather. Even though we have AC all summer I still feel blah. I'm definitely not a summer person. Weird but true.

Beautiful blocks Hav! So happy that you and DH are on the mend.

My latest project is this wallhanging, I just got it off of the longarm yesterday and finished the binding this morning. My latest resolution was to start machine sewing the binding down instead of hand stitching the back down, this worked great on this project. I was pleasantly surprised how fast the binding was completed. On gifted quilts I will still hand stitch the backing down.

Default Just checking in

Hi all! Where does the time go?
I had an eye procedure done last Monday and am going for the other eye today. It's to relieve pressure from acute angle glacoma. I've had the condition for at least 5 years. Finally all the stars have aligned so I can get a Lasix type of correction. My blood pressure is fine and I don't have diabetes, this is just how my eye is shaped.

I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the weather. Southeast Alabama has wandered into 36 degree lows wuth 62+ highs. The leaves haven't changed much. We expect glorious reds and golds by now.

Take care and stay safe!

Beautiful wall hanging, Cheese! Love it... thanks for sharing it.

A2P, Hope all goes well with the second eye procedure. Great you can have Lasix. Hey, we noticed our leaves have not changed color yet, either. Weird. Maybe it's just happening late this year.

Thank you Have for the unique and beautiful block to add to my "Roses" collection.

Cheese, I have the same thought but it has not turned into a resolution. I just get so full of trepidation about "messing up". Guess I need to just start somewhere and try the machine sewing of my binding. As with all things, I am assuming that practicing will make it better each time. What a fun quilt, Cheese. I am entranced with the effect that is created with triangles.

A2P, the medical world's ability to treat eyes must have been matured in the past 5 years or so. I hear of so many folks having eye surgeries. And all have been successful. Good for you that your in line for the next eye and all is well. We need our best available vision to do what we love to do.

Sunny and bright but more than a little breezy here in the mitten. The trees are dropping leave and sending them dancing down the streets in bushel baskets full. I heard that colors will not be a vibrant if there is a drought or really dry conditions. We were suffering drought for most of the summer and into the fall. Our Michigan colors are OK but not a vivid as in other years, at least near my corner of the SW Michigan. I see photos of stunning colors but so many photos are "enhanced" that now I am not sure what is real and what is just what someone wished the trees looked like.
