Good evening, Roses. Boy is the cold blowing in now.

MJP, grand blocks for Terriamn and TG. Congratulations on finishing ahead of schedule.

I had a lot of fun doing these boom blocks. I forgot how much I liked the creativity of doing boom blocks.

Two more creative beauties, MJP. Your blocks are always unique and will be standouts in their final quilt tops.

Sewbiz - beautiful quilts. Those stroller quilts are too cute! I hope you feel better soon.

Happy adoption birthday, Ernie!

Terriamn - hubby falling off the ladder is awful! I hope he's ok.

Suze - have a safe surgery. Everyone that I know that has had it is wonderfully relieved and it is good to hear others in here share their experiences with it.

I have blocks finished but no time to post pictures yet. Gosh, all the blocks are beautiful in the gallery. I'll be happy when some of mine are in the mix. Thank you, Janice for keeping it up for us.

MJp great finish, thank you for my Ohio Star!

Only 69 here, when we went for our cart rideI wore a sweatshirt with a towels over my legs. This is actually the weather we are use to for November, not the high temps we were having.

I took a look at the boom blocks you’ve all made for me. They’re fantastic. That was a difficult task I gave you and everyone has done a Marvelous job on them.

My husband is recovering from hernia surgery he had Friday afternoon. Here’s the text I got while he was waiting to go in for the surgery: OR is running 1/2 hour behind. I’ve seen the surgeon. They gave me a manscape and drew a smiley on my groin. Maybe I shouldn’t have scheduled this during Friday happy hour.

Anyway he’s home and did yard work on Saturday. I’ve never seen anyone with the recuperative powers he has or maybe he just doesn’t feel pain.

Brrr, it’s cold here! 25! A good day to stay in and quilt. Ernie is the smart one. He’s sleeping in.

MJP, I’m glad your husband’s sense of humor is intact! Hope he heals swiftly. DH had a triple hernia surgery and after a couple of weeks he said he wouldn’t have even known he’d had surgery had he not gotten an erroneous bill for three separate surgeries. One surgery, three times the price. Yes, he got that straightened out right away.

Enjoy your day, Roses.

I win, it is 24 degrees here at the moment, 10:00 am. But the feels like temp is 29 degrees, so you win, Janice McC. The sun is out with high blue skies with not a cloud anywhere to be seen. The juncos are scratching in the snow for seeds with an occasional lady cardinal joining in for a seed snack. The grassy areas look a little rough today because the snow knocked down many, many oak leaves yesterday which are not sitting on top of our beautiful snow. I do enjoy how each day the weather is just slightly different and I get a new vision out my window.

Sewing, well I finished my group's exchange blocks and added the binding to a quilt yesterday. Time to settle in for some hand stitching of the binding and a good old movie. I still have some DVDs and even a few VHS tapes that can entertain me. I might just pull out the big old holiday box of Christmas movies to provide pleasant background noise while I stitch.

Anyone else wake up to snow??????? Yup we did! I thought the weatherman was just being dramatic yesterday.
Janice, I chuckled at the 3 bills for hernias. Yikes!

Thanks for all the comments on my gallbladder. Not sure when as I haven't even seen the surgeon yet. My doctor sent me a message this morning saying she wants his opinion about the whole thing, not that she's sure I need it done but to be honest, I'm pretty sure I do. It's full of stones. Yuck.

Over the weekend we watched Father of the Bride 1 and 2 and laughed ourselves silly. Steve Martin and Martin Short crack me up. Gave Paul a break from his back pain. Although very funny, there were also tender moments. We have some of our favorite movies on dvd and every now and then pop one in.

Have a good day everyone!

MJP- absolutely love your blocks!! So creative. thank you so much.

Last Sunday I picked the pomegranates that are on my side of fence. Since my neighbor didn't pick hers - I did. So my other neighbor (84) and I sat outside with two large buckets filled with them and seeded them. What laughter! So many memories were shared on shucking corn, or snipping beans etc. on the back porch. By the time I helped her walk back to her house, Both of our glasses were speckled with red! My husband had to hose down the entire area. But what beautiful deep red delicious juice is now in the freezer.
We are expecting our beautiful fall weather to end on Thursday. We have had 45 at night and 70ish during days for almost 6 weeks. This summer was one of our worst, this autumn is one of the best.
We are joining 7 other couples at a RV park for four days of thanksgiving food and fun.
