Yup, me too! This morning I was part way through my message and I got an error message stating there was an "Internal Site Problem, Please Try Again Later" message. But like you from time to time I will get shut down in the middle of typing a message on one of the threads of the QB. Grrrr! A lesson in technology patience, I guess.

Janice, the Steam a Seam should work just fine. I use washable 1/4" double sided tape to hold my binding in place whether I sew the back down by hand or machine stitch it down, works great for me.
Sorry I have been absent for a while. I've been busy cleaning the house in an attempt to have it ready for Thanksgiving. The lead glass chandelier over the dining table sparkles once again, it must have been really bad! Also been busy with DH's Dr appointments. He was recently diagnosed with skin melanoma and now we are awaiting a date for his surgery. Prognosis is good and we hope that our return trip to Alabama will not be delayed. At this point, no chemo or radiation should be needed, fingers crossed all will be well.
WMUTeach, I am always amazed and impressed with how much you accomplish! I so wish I could light a fire under my bum to get more projects done. Maybe that should be my New Years Resolution!

To be truthful we don’t understand why the Valley has so many homes for sale. I was talking to my Canadian friend at quilting today and asked her the same question. She said their government has ads on TV asking the citizens not to travel to the US because of the tariffs on their exports to the USA but that should have little impact on our park. Most of the homes here are brick and Mortar. The French Canadians drive enormous motor homes, fifth wheels or rent. They don’t usually buy houses. Long story short I have no idea as to what is happening here.
Cheesehead are you seeing the same thing in your retirement community in Alabama?
Thanks for the feedback on the width of your bindings. I also use 2.25 or 2.50, but sure get nervous when I sew it on the back and flip it over to machine sew it down to the front
WMUT I would also love some of your ambition, mine has left the room

Cheese, the Steam a seam worked great! Held the binding beautifully while I sewed. Never realized this was a possibility until I saw someone online use it. The quilt seams were a little thick and my trimming could have been better so it isn’t as nice as I would have liked. But, once again, I learned from this quilt so I’ll live with the less than perfect binding. Another quilt for Project Linus. Many more to go.

Cheesehead hoping your DH’s surgery will be soon and he will feel ok by the holidays.
We went to dh’s sister’s yesterday, we chatted and went out to dinner. It was sad, they are about 20 years older than hubby and their decline is more noticeable every time we see them. This will most likely be their last year as a winter Texan, at home they have their name in for assisted living. You can definitely see where that will be a good fit for them.
Supposed to be a hot one today, which means pool time!

TravelingGramma gets a patriotic Tumbler Star, SusieQ gets a Tumbler Star but for the life of me I couldn't get the colors to show up on the picture so I took a picture of the project in progress so you could see the pastel yellow and pink used, Sewbizgirl gets a log cabin undersea block because I read "traditional" on the label on the bag way too late at night and figured you can't get more traditional than a log cabin block. Her Normal Rockwell block is the second block and it is based on something I saw in Quilter's Cache as a way to frame things up but I changed the pattern to something less complicated for me. I auditioned lots of options and I am sending back a bunch of those to you in case you want them. I love the picture frame that others created using the faces from this fabric.

Beautiful parade, Ibex! Looks like your package will arrive today
I am going to start sorting out the blocks today. I hope they’d be ready to go by the beginning of next week.

Here are some more. I loved making all of these! Nelco gets a very patriotic one based on one of the patriotic blocks I received from a boom a while ago, MJPEncintas gets a modern rendition for her upcoming award winning quilt with Theo, LStew, gets a Thanksgiving D9P, Janice McC gets a D9P, and Janice McC gets a Star Check for her blue batik.
