2025 UFO Challenge

For those still playing along with the numbers, since we haven’t gotten a new one yet and we’re almost halfway through the month, I went ahead and put the remaining three numbers (5, 6, and 11) in a jar and drew one.
The winner:
6
If this helps at all to get you motivated, YAY! Let’s goooOOOOooo—we’re almost to the end of the year!

Thanks for taking the step to keep us going, Quossum. I have completed all of those numbers because of my zest to get 'um done. So I grabbed one of my "not on the list" options and get that one finished for October. It is all about finishing something each month.

I want to thank-you all for following through while I was absent. In August my brother in law & hubby had significant health issues. Now that things have quieted down some, I’m going through the after crisis blabs and just want to have quiet time for awhile.
- if anyone would like to take over this ufo 🛸 thread for 2026? You have my wishes and thanks for taking over, if you chose to. Otherwise, if no one lets me know they will take over by December 20th, I will continue in January 2026. Just FYI, I will not let this thread drop. I like to see everyone’s finished projects.
I hope all had a great Halloween.

Finally after many years since I started it and put it away, then picked it up again in February to get it put together, it's now quilted, bagged to go to the couple tomorrow and I'm not sorry to see it go. I made a small one to see how easy or hard it was to put together. I used MSQ's version of this pattern using pre-cut 5" batik fabrics that were not cut exact for the centers and then all the gold fabrics from my stash. The only thing I had to order was the backing as this quilt came out at 92 x 102 and heavy with all the layers of fabric in it. It was custom quilted and my thread was old and dried out so I threw it into the freezer when not in use between a gold and a cream. There's 3 sashings and 1 border to finish it off and I even used the quilting thread to stitch the binding down on my little old sewing machine. Hope you like it.
So this is my entry for October and I've already got my next quilt on the frame waiting for my sister to tell me which threads to use on it. It's the Sangria from Wings in a Prayer. This also makes #13 quilts finished for the year.

Good day everyone.
Due to life getting in the way, I need to take some time out of sewing/quilting for a while.
I want to thank Quossum for selecting the last 3 months ufo numbers. Thank-you very much.
I also want to thank WMUTeach for volunteering to take over this thread for a year. She will be taking over the rest of this year and all of next year. I just ask that you message me with your address, if you completed all 12 UFO’s this year. (You have 6 weeks before the end of the year). I still intend to honor the prize for this reward of finishing the 12. UFO’s on your list. So keep sewing/quilting everyone.

Hello there, UFO Finishers, I will post our final December UFO number on December 1, right here on this thread.
My plan is to post the new thread for 2026 after Christmas. No official membership and anyone can jump in at any time in 2026. So, until then, work on finishing this year's UFO list in between making gifts and family gatherings.
Yes if you have finished your list for 2025 PM your name and address to happylab.

I don't understand these numbers you talk about, what are they and do you have to sign up for the numbers or what? I'm just trying to finish an UFO each month but I don't think I'll make it this month as I had a 2 week delay due to a death in the family plus this one is a whopper at 105 x 105 and it's being totally custom quilted as I go. It's the Sangria by Wings in a Prayer and I just couldn't see doing an E2E on it after all that piecing I did to put it together all those years ago, I think maybe 2016-17.
