A quiet day here for us, as well. I've finished my binding prep and nearly done with my IW borders. I'm very thankful I can still piece at my slow pace with my various issues. It's a pretty, sunny day here, but it looks like some winter weather will be coming through in the next few days.

Happy Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving will be a quiet one here. Just me, hubby and our oldest daughter. We'll enjoy a turkey breast, along with stuffing, sweet potato, and of course some pumpkin pie. Before that turkey goes into the oven, I'll be in my

I was concerned that the picture did show all the sets, but figured it would have to be a dedicated person looking to break the mystery to count them. Since the post didn't mention numbers I didn't say anything.
But yes -- we should not have grid lines and she prefers that we use representational sampling in pictures than easily counted sets. Can be hard to do and can be so fun to show the range of our fabrics
Ooo - -and as I came in to edit, that we can't really do anything after about 5 minutes of posting.

I was just checking in- hope everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving. I apologize if the picture I posted is problematic. I purposely took the photo without any measurement markings. I tried to remove it, but was unable.

First impressions, this is going to be a hard one for me with my color shift. What you all have as purple/neutral will be gray/black, And then the pink units will be white (my pink) and black as the neutral.
One thing I have learned from Bonnie's directions is when she says to start on one side or the other -- it usually does make a difference in how easily the blocks sew together. My tendency is to start from the other side but I've taken note...
I'll be on my trip on Thursday the 4-11th and hope to have this clue done before I leave. I'm not planning on working on the project while I'm gone but I will be on line still. So yikes, I'll be a week behind but happy to go on my visit.
If I can get the edit in on time (I forgot it with the PDF post and then again with this one) here is the Newsletter

I’m guessing his week’s clue is going to be the border.
First reason is because there’s no sets, they’re just random. Perfect for a border.
Second reason is if my math is mathing correctly, it works with the dimensions of the quilt if there’s a 4x4 square in each corner.
Only time will tell if I’m right!!!!

It certainly looks like it could be a border. I think this might be a good opportunity to use my darker gray as the neutral.
I had an exciting moment last night, as I put my first pieces (top left corner) of IW together. The pieces went together beautifully, so I slapped the section back up on the wall and took a photo . .. and saw that I had the red slash going the wrong way. So I took it all apart and re-did it. I hope it's the first and last time I make that mistake!
