I saw the mail gal this afternoon, and went to met her. She knew what I was waiting for and gave my package to me before she started on all her deliveries. I couldn't wait to see the block and opened the pkg right there. <3 I have them all ironed and on my small design wall...WOW!!! LOVE all to them, <3
Have to make myself wait to start fingering out the lay out until I get the other quilt top done and off the Big design wall

My BFF Tim came over for Thanksgiving. I baked a 5# chicken along with all the trimmings. (That was an accomplishment for me as I don't cook much just for me )
No black Fri for me. Stopped that long ago.

Wishing all of you a Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year

Nelco, I’m pleased you like your blocks! Be sure to post pix of your quilt top when it’s done. Sounds like a lovely dinner with your BFF.

SBG, so sorry about Marty, sending big hugs.

My sister stopped by for coffee this morning and she ohhed and awed over each block and commented on all the creativity.

Temp is chilly today 69, a great day for outside chores and to start my Christmas baking.

My hubby is telling everyone. Yep Terri is buying all her Christmas gifts here, then we will load them up and take them to Minnesota, haul them out of the car and wrap them. Then at Christmas load them back in the car and drive them to our daughter’s house. Do you feel he is aggravatiedwith me 😇

Terriamn, how nice that you and your sister are close enough for coffee drop ins. And clearly she’s appreciative of your blocks. I like her! lol.

I just found out there is more fabric coming my way. At least 2 laundry baskets full. I think they keep finding more stash hidden in out of the way places. My friend’s husband didn’t know the extent of her stash and she’s unsure about how much she has since she developed dementia.

This is at least the 11th day of being stuck home. Now we’re down to the nitty gritty of getting rid of this residual cough. That nagging tickle cough? Everyone knows what I mean. So annoying.

Back to watching football. Have a good afternoon, Roses.

Janice my sister and 1 have never lived close to each other since I left home at 18. Physically and mentally. But the last 20 years we have come great friends and loving sisters. She is right behind my dh for supporting me. It is wonderful having her so close here in Texas.

Terriamn, no one could make me laugh like my sister could. She had a wicked sense of humor that sent a laugh through the whole room when she was on a roll. I do miss that.

Well, the latest stash I was gifted included several complete tops including a bed-size double wedding ring, two baby tops and a couple of other bed-size quilt tops that I haven’t had the heart to unpack. Now what on earth will I do with the DWR? The baby quilt tops are super cute and I can use those right away for Project Linus but the others, I have neither the need for nor the desire to quilt them. Breaks my heart to see all the piecing in the tops to end up in my hands because she’s too unwell to even care if they’re given away. Sad situation. Suggestions?

Good morning, ladies, my blocks arrived and all are accounted for. They are simply stunning, and I can't' wait to get started on my fall quilt. I think I already have my fabrics pulled out for the next boom. As I was cleaning up the sewing room from the past sewing, I ran across Christmas fabric in pinks and teal. Just enough for 19 fat eights. Woo Hoo.

SBG, so sorry to hear about Marty. Our pets give us so much love the heart hurts when we have to make these kinds of decisions.

Janice, glad to hear you are on the mind. Thank you for sharing the goodies with us. I received my patterns and I am so excited to work on them.

Janice sorry I have no idea son what to do with the quilt tops

My sister also has a wonderful loud laugh, nothing compared to our dad but very hearty for a woman and we do laugh together a lot

I am to say baking went well yesterday, 5 loaves of banana chocolate chip bread completed and no goofy mistakes. Today I drove the car about 3 miles to the post office then to Wallmart for a wire shelf. First time I trusted myself in a month to drive, it was on the highway and believe me I was nervous but did just fine driving and shopping. A very big step in the right directing.

Went to make Christmas bags for the bread and no Christmas fabric here, how could that be? Will use a black and red Buffalo plaid with whit ribbon, they should still look festive.

Now to make some pumpkin bread

Janice - ask your LQS or guild if they know someone who can take the tops and possibly practice their Long Arm. Then they can be donated. I have heard there are some organizations that do take the tops and finish them, but that would mean shipping. Since your guild gals were so eager for fabric......
Finally went back to stores today - I went last Monday and then stayed away for week of crazy shoppers.
I need to redo two of my candy blocks because the stitch guide moved and they aren't the correct measurements.

Today I received all of the beautiful blocks you made for me, thank you! I also received the lovely extra goodies that Janice sent, another big thank you! Spent the last 3 days hand sewing down the binding on two different quilts, whew...glad that is over.

SBG, thinking about your and Marty ((((Hugs)))).

We did get 10" of snow on Saturday and more coming in tonight, it's also very cold. I wish I was in Alabama.

Terri, I love banana bread, it's my favorite!
