M-fay! Thank you for my secret Santa package! I decided to open it on a day I have off! It was just so fun to open! I love all the fussy cuts you gave me, the beautiful silk and embroidery thread, the yummy biscuits, the nice thread you sent. I’m wondering if you could tell me what the purple pointy item is? Is that to help turn out corners in sewing projects you make? My mom and I were wondering what it is? And thank you for the batik fat quarters! They’re beautiful! . Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

Log cabin I'm glad you like what i sent and you can make something really nice out of it. You're right about the purple thing. I received my 1st one in a swap and it was called a 'purple thangy" Ive still got it and its very handy. Ive never seen one to buy, but the nurses use them for something and they are throw away items like scissors. So if you know a nurse! I think I'll open mine tonight after tea.. and post pictures tonight for my SS. and thank her. i did some detective work and i think you sent to her and she sent to me
    I could be wrong though

Many thanks Pat for the items you sent me.You covered all I wanted. I love that you made the zipper bag and awsome coaster . I love hand made. The 10 colour biro (i've only ever seen a 4 colour one) will come in handy and my Christmas,Naughty & nice sox will now have to share my feet with the Merry Rudolf ones you sent me. Lindt chocolate, my favourite, made my day and to top it all off was the fat quarters bundle. Bright colours you dyed yourself. I couldnt be happier and cant thank you enough. May you have a wonderful Christmas and and plenty of sewing days in 2026 I have a new phone and cant connect to computor to send photo.I will try again tomorrow

I popped back in and have enjoyed looking at all the pics posted. It is a bright spot to see quilting joy.

I am waiting until Christmas to open mine. I want to thank Army Lady for sending a wrapped box in beautiful green and red striped paper. I tucked it in the corner and using it as a stand for my little tree. I am enjoying the anticipation and it makes me happy to know I’ll get to open some quilty good ness on Christmas morning.

Hope you all are enjoying the season. I feel like it is rushing pass but enjoying moments such as a Christmas tour I took with friends downtown. We started in Pioneer Square which boasts a giant fir tree from the Oregon forest bedecked in lights. We went to various Christmas displays downtown including several giant gingerbread houses. One was of the Emerald City to stay current with the movies.

Tomorrow I am meeting with friends to watch the Christmas Ships go by.

Secret Santa is an adored tradition and I look forward to seeing you all next year. Merry 🎄 Christmas!!!

The Christmas Ship Parade has been a Portland tradition for over 50 years. You can look up pics and more info online. Christmasships.org. Yes they are real. Decorated ships that tour in the water and they run on a schedule until 12/21.

I like to drive around and look at lights after dark as well. This was one of my favorite outings when I was a kid.

I don’t remember how to post pics with a url or link but I do believe that there are tutorials posted somewhere. You could try FAQ as well.

Christmas morning was so much fun. I opened my Secret Santa Package from Army Lady. She spoiled me. She was definitely Santa. I sent a PM but wanted to also post that I am so thrilled with all my goodies and can’t wait to start creating new projects.

Haven’t seen much activity here so I don’t know if anyone is still reading posts. I will be more than happy to take and show pics if anyone wants them. If two people say yes, I will post pics.

Hope everyone has a fabulous 2026.
