Heathermom -- I hope everyone is feeling great by Dec 25! I am glad to see that my candies made it to you. Did they get there on your birthday or afterwards? I am just trying to figure out how the mail delivery is between your place and mine. I am sorry if it didn't make it to you on time.
My 2026 New Year's resolution (one of many, lol) -- to mail everything to the birthday folks as soon as I get the notice from WMUTeach! This was a late start year for me. Let's hope next year I am more on the ball. Motto for 2025: growing pains. 2026: I got this!

I enjoyed being part of the swap this year, but this year threw a lot at me and it was at times really challenging to get things out on time. I am not rejoining for next year, even though I loved the group, the candies I received, and putting together the sets.
2026 is looking like a lot of potential uncertainty for me in both work and personal areas. My MILs health hasn’t been great and she needs more help and is at an increased risk of needing to make the transition to assisted care. Work is tumultuous, the project I was on for several months that had me traveling to our HQ in DC area may be opening up new job opportunities (which is great) but those may include more travel or potential relocation. Relocation is a particularly stressy idea as we’d need to sell our home and also figure out a relocation for MIL. With all this looming, my 2026 goal is not to take on any commitments this year, so I can focus on family, things that must be done, and then enjoy things I want to do as time allows. It will be a year of change I think, and I am trying to be open and flexible to it.
I just finished wrapping gifts and am off to bake some cookies. Playing a little catch up after a couple weeks down with COVID but I’m getting there.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

QuiltingPandaBear -- that is a lot of stuff going on to have to prepare for. You will be missed but lurking is a perfectly acceptable passtime during the craziness of 2026 that might be a fun break for you. Thank you for letting us know. Have a wonderful Christmas and joyful New Year! and NO MORE CORONAVIRUS! Hugs!

I have cleared some messages, so can receive your PMs. I normally receive a message when my box is full, but did not this time. So sorry. I am strongly considering an alternative way to contact me. The small limit on saved and sent messages is difficult when we communication so often via PM.
Welcome back LAF and sadly but for good reason we will be losing. She will be lurking and showing off her finishes as the year progresses. I will adjust our 2026 Birthday Swap list ASAP.
