Ho ho ho, seasons greetings all that stuff
On the grinchy side, in the background of doing my Bonnie Hunter project, I've been dealing with my house solar install. Good concepts, sketchy industry... anyway, having to deal with lots and lots of issues where it is time to move it up the legal chain. But yesterday a really nice guy came to put the Tesla Battery on the house -- that deal ends with the Big Beautiful Budget in 2026 and was the reason I decided to go solar this year. The panels and my roof are another story...
I have not started putting together my blocks, but I have them cut out. I did press a lot more of the rectangles because they were getting on my nerves
still have a lot of pressing to do but it isn't so... pressing
Looking forward to the next clue tomorrow.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful day! It's a quiet Christmas here, just hubby and me, and he's currently sleeping. I made a hearty beef stew in the instapot and a pumpkin pie. I picked up some homemade sourdough rolls at a local market last weekend. So that's all the cooking/baking I'm doing, and it's done!
I gifted myself a new ironing board cover, and was just trying it out. Not so good news is that when I removed the old cover, the metal frame was a bit rusted. Rather than purchase a new board, I'll sand the rusty spots and spray paint a new surface. For now, the old cover stays on so that the rustiness doesn't come through to the new cover. My husband says to just buy a new one, but hey, I'd rather use those funds for fabric or quilty items!!
I finished Clue 5 this morning, posting a pic of some here. There's just a few that I wasn't quite happy with the quality of my sewing. The fabric hump in the center joints made my seam line a bit wobbly. So those few will have a small un-stich and re-do. After that I'm ready for the next clue. Again, hoping for the return of blue. The rest of my day includes spray basting a quilt out on my patio. It's a lovely 78 degrees out and I intend to enjoy it!

Good luck to those working on the Bonnie quilt. I hope you all have success and fun with it in the new year.

Back at Pinkflowers, I was impressed with how lovely your units were just next together like that!.
For those of you who waited, maybe you will want to use the same fabrics per block (non Bonnie style), or maybe you will even go Bonnie-wilder with your options!
I am committed to going varied but with WoW as my Pink, there isn't so much contrast and having Bonnie type neutrals would help the Bonnie type style.
We must be using some sort of blue (black and white for me) rectangles/squares in the next set. So surprised they didn't come up (again) yet. So hoping for some nice easy rectangles... hoping!
So scheduling is:
Clue 6 not started! Maybe Monday?
Clue 5 all cut, not otherwise started.
Clue 4 all sewn, half to two-thirds pressed, only the test set trimmed!
