    Is amazing what happens when I actually sit down and sew. Sadly today I am on my own with no sewing group to help keep me in my chair and focused.

    Clue 4, about half pressed, none trimmed.
    Clue 5 has had the parts put together into sets and I've started putting the sets together.
    Clue 6 remains a non-starter, will need to finish pressing/trimming Clue 4.

    I'm still quite happy with my monochrome decision, the hard thing is the white reversing to black as my neutral while still using white on white for pink... just makes it hard for me to visualize

    Friday could be the reveal/final clue, or another "easy" week??

    I usually have the goal of being done by Valentine's Day... looks like I'm going to need the time. But again, it's not a race -- it's a quilt in the end, or at least a top.

    I think we might be done with the 'easy' weeks. I finally got back to sewing, too, after spending time getting one quilt sent out for quilting and the backing and binding ready for next month's quilt. I'm really enjoying making my clue 1 units, they are pretty!

    I agree joe's mom. I think we are back to making small units. I am so glad we were able to make larger sections out of the previous tiny ones. I'm still thinking we haven't done tiny 4 or 9 patches. Maybe it's coming.

    Progress!!

    Clue 4 pressed and ready for trimming
    Clue 5 done! Yes, I am sure I have my fabric placements correct...

    Maybe I'll be caught up by Friday, maybe not! Hubby does have to work today so I should be working on this project too.

    Musically we went back to the Alphabet... John Fogerty was followed by the Four Tops and then Aretha Franklin. I'll have a lot more Motown sort of things coming later -- mostly under V for "Various Artists". This link is from the greatest hits I had on -- so many years and songs, and so much higher standards in recording now

    Those look beautiful, Iceblossom! Did you make a chart or something so you wouldn't get mixed up with your colors?

    Taking a break from the trimming to get fresh coffee (and turn on the space heater downstairs, the feet are cold). When I go back down I should be at a point to start putting together sets of the Clue 6 blocks. Goal for today is maybe make a couple, but getting the trimming done is the big task. If I can get all the trimming and set making done today, I'll be feeling pretty good about my progress/catch up.

    Joesmom -- I am happy with my blocks, even the ones with ants and skeletons

    Yes, I have a big chart (48 point type) on my wall, I write the color changes on each page of my print outs, and I still second guess/get confused all the time. The easier thing would have been to keep the neutral as white...
    White/Neutral = Black
    Purple = Gray
    Pink = white on white
    Blue = black and white

    I did it, y’all!

    I finished….

    Step TWO!!!

    Okay, okay, so I’m a little bit behind. And some of these rectangles are scant as scant can be. But I completed a step!

    Now I’ve got to decide if I’m emotionally prepared to take on 200000 HST….

    Hi all! I’ve spent a fair chunk of time catching up on everyone’s progress in this thread. So many lovely quilts are coming together, and I am in love with the block with the half square rectangles.

    I ended up having a bad reaction after surgery, and was unable to do any quilting. I then returned home, had family over and holiday commitments. Nice to spend time with family at this time of year, so no complaints.

    Starting with clue 1 (and on the first of January too) is my goal today. I’m hoping to have some quality time to sew in the next couple of weeks, I’ve really missed it.

    I’ve also joined a Dear Jane sew along Facebook group and am hoping to get some UFOs (especially the stack of unquilted tops) done in 2026, so I have some lofty goals coming up.

    Today I’ll finally take a seat at my sewing machine and will pop back in here with a picture once I’ve finished clue 1.

    Well done, Quossum! Your geese are beautiful. And HSTs are easier than geese.

    CraftyBecksa, I'm glad you are back in the sewing chair!

    Couple weeks ago, 2 machines needed repair at same time.
    The LQS quit carrying Bernina, so service is a distance. They both are in need. But I need $ recovery first, so it'll be couple months.
    Finished clue 5 & 6.
    Maybe I'll get Merry Mayhem and have a marathon tomorrow. Hmmmmmm

    I'd like to get some springtime decorations including Easter. Hmmmmm
    What to do.
