Thanks for the tips and ideas, Ibex and Quossum. I had forgotten about KatieMae. It was good to wander back and see the site again.

I haven't gotten an email notice of any activity in this group for weeks. It just occurred to me that it's time! Boy have I missed alot of conversation. I don't know why I don't get the email updates routinely.

I'm still struggling with getting my Bernina B16 sitdown working again. It has been broken since last March. It almost has me thinking about quitting quilting from frustration.

My heating went out in the house on the coldest night of the year last month... near zero wind chill. It took days to get it repaired. This week it has stopped working three more times... eleven days after paying $500 to get it repaired. They may come tomorrow to try to repair it again. It seems like nothing ever stays fixed.

My New Year's Resolution is the same every year... I resolve not to write 2025 as the year any more in 2026.

JENNR8R, You are not alone in missing the daily updates. I wasn't either and went to post a question to the moderators of the side to discover that feature has been eliminated. It was suggested that if you wish to get updates that when you open and sign in to the QB that you click the NEW POSTS tab.

Tee Hee Hee to your resolution! Difficult sometimes but doable. Any one else with resolutions? I have been working at getting all of my fabric into one double wide closet for ten nearly eleven years. Getting closer. Maybe this year.. Snails pace for sure but progress at any speed is progress.

I'm not talking about daily updates. When one subscribes to a thread, they are supposed to get an email whenever there is a new post in it. I just got an email from your reply to my post. I don't understand why I don't get new post emails from a subscribed thread all of the time.

JENNR8R, I don't get notices of new postings at all. Would you like to ask the moderator on behalf of all of us? Let us know what is the best way to keep up to date with our subscribed threads.

All, I just sent the January Birthdays addressed to you via PM. If there are address errors or you did not get the PM let me know and I will make corrections or resend the message ASAP.

I don't know how to ask a moderator, but I found the following under FAQ. When I click "List Subscriptions" instant email notification is checked on my list.

    "What are subscriptions?

"Subscriptions are a way of keeping track of different threads or forums. You can choose how you are notified about updates - for example by having them listed in your User CP and receiving email updates for each one.

"Thread Subscriptions have the same options as forum subscriptions with the following additional option:
    • Instant Email Notification - sends an email as soon as a new post is added to the thread. This is not sent for every reply and will only be sent once until you revisit the forums.

"You can also manage your individual subscriptions by clicking 'List Subscriptions' under 'SubscribedThreads' in your User CP. Here you can select which subscriptions you wish to manage and delete them, move them to another folder, or change their subscription type."

I just addressed January cards and will walk them down to mailbox after parades are over. I found the LIVE parade from London on PBS and loving it! So many high school bands from the USA
I haven’t requested daily notifications in awhile. I do have the page open on my DuckDuckGo app on my phone so I just open whenever I can to check in.
