I need to finish things I have started. I have fabric that I use for project and have slowed down my buying fabric . I don't think I will stop buying fabric.

STOP ACCEPTING OTHER PEOPLE'S SCRAPS!!! Yes I was yelling at myself. When fellow guild and sewing group members know that one is a scrapaholic, they are all too happy to 'donate' their scraps--to me. I must be firm and politely reject their offerings.

I have a 'new to me' longarm and am loving it! But I must make time to quilt some of my own tops, that have been sitting for too many years. I don't know where they will end up--either donations or gifts--but finishing them will make my heart happy.

And of course, use what I have instead of buying more.

    My quilting goals for 2026

    1. Reduce my pile of UFOs and WIPs
    2. Go back on a fabric diet.
    3. Try to put at least, 15 minutes a day working on my EPP project.

Goals are simple. Get 3 large lap quilts finished and sent. Work on the toys for the children’s hospital. Nothing much more than that.

Enjoy quilting for the reasons this hobby brings me Joy!... I love to dream about the possibilities I have with all the fabric I have bought or was gifted. I wait for the right quilt pattern to catch my eye and then pull from my stash the colors and patterns that I think will make the quilt shine. Sometimes I start the quilt right away or sometimes I make up a kit for a time when I find out someone needs a quilt. It makes me happy to play with my fabrics as much as it does to quilt with them. Oh and I never have a deadline for any quilt... I don't enjoy the pressure of having to work on a quilt by a certain deadline. Wishing you all a Happy Quilting New Year!

I don't have any quilting goals except to enjoy the process. I do it as a hobby and quilt for my own pleasure. So I rarely have a deadline or pressure on any project. I am not going for show quality quilts or even heirlooms. Just enjoying the steps and having a finished project. My stack will be donated at some point. I give away a lot and special people can request. But without a deadline.

My goal is to enjoy my quilting journey this year. My sewing room will be busy as will my garden and kitchen when it's time to can veggies. Always so good in the winter time and every little bit helps.

My goal this year is to find a use for the scraps for my temperature quilt! The top is completed (and the rest of the quilt parts being assembled) but now I have a rainbow of colors to use up. A good problem to have, I guess, as I like colorful quilts!
