Focusing on making more blocks for my Boho Hearts quilt. My husband and I just recently celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary so I really want to finish this to commemorate the occasion. Also, going to try to squeeze in a little more sewing time on the Bonnie Hunter 2026 Mystery Quilt to try to catch up. Finally, I am going to follow the Just Get it Done Declutter Challenge 2026 to try to get my sewing room under control.

i finished quilting the Monet's Wedding Ring throw. I realized after making half the blocks and putting them on the design wall, that I should have chosen a background that was either much lighter or much darker--too late to start over. But it is quilted and will get bound and labelled tomorrow, ready for donation.

I just got off of a quilting zoom with friends. I added a label to a quilt and put it in the wash. Then I laid out some squares for an AQS challenge quilt. I will be away tomorrow, Friday, but will check back on Saturday for more stitching, Oh and I'm participating in an online embroidery class. That sounds like enough for one weekend.

Encouraging to see so many participating in this unexpected VQW. Yay, we are ready to roll.

Had a change of plans, and spent the whole morning putting away “Xmas” stuff, then a nice cool long walk, and now piecing some blocks for my guild BOM. The top right one is another bonus block I made called Red Cross from quilterscache. The other blocks are sandwiched and quilted because I am trying the QAYG method this time,
This month the posted blocks are the Friendship Star Block and Four Patch Fox and Goose so will keep working on them instead of doing that mystery.

Since it is end/beginning of the year. There are many sales on fabrics that could be used for the quilt tops I need to finish. So. I found three UFO backings and bought them. I want to finish a few of those tops this year. Hard to do without the yardage. Right?
Next on the list is organizing the time into my schedule to make it happen. I like to watch u-tube videos on Vlogmus. It is about this lady who cross stitches. It is very fun even though I don't use this venue as a hobby. Anyway, the point is they have a chart that they fill out of projects to make this year. It is displayed in your work area to help keep those tasks in the forefront of your mind. The materials are gathered and placed together for quick access. I am going to try this and bin them where I can grab and work.
Oh, Hubby bought me the battings I need already.
I think I will also make sure I have enough thread in the right colors. I don't want any excuses to stop my momentum.

Generally once a month I “host” a thread on this board and we share what we’re working on. May be organizing, planning, shopping or actually quilting! Sometimes I will host a special one. Next regular VQW is Martin Luther King weekend.

I finished quilting my latest yesterday and now have to trim and put the binding on. Used a straight line stitch with a slight wave design and should have picked something larger as it took almost 90 lines and four days off and on. Should have waited until I was healed from my fall last Friday but wanted to get this one done. Today it will be washed, dried, and bagged for charity, then I'll clean and plan my next one. Always something to do!

About 40% quilted on the longarm project, still cutting/piecing on the scrap project, which will be bigger than I thought it would be. Anything to use those scraps!
